Your pasties look great Katie.  I have never heard of a calzone mould .

Chookie, you sure have been busy.  Bread looks great as usual and the soups sound delicious.

I have read about those Chookie. Like a waffle mould I decided I didn't need to know anymore. They do look tasty though

Gorgeous looking pasties Katie.  It has been so long since I've had one, yours make me want one now!   :D

Did you use lard in the pastry?  My mum used to do that and her pastry was always light and lovely.  I have 2 moulds like you describe, I think they are Tupperware ones (big one and a small one).  Maybe I should give these a go.  I can't see the temp on the towel Katie, is it 200C?

I also love the look of those crispy waffles Chookie.  Are you putting the recipe on the forum?  I have an elec waffle maker so I could give these a go too.  ;D

Yesterday I made a big pot of bolognaise sauce on the stove top and today I made it into lasagne. I made the lasagne sheets extra long to fit nicely in my big baking dish.  I was able to cut it into 9 serves for DH to have and to take to work.  :)

Don't tempt me. I can imagine them with chocolate, or maple syrup or whatever is going really.

Julie, you would be affected by the loss of gas  up your way wouldn't you.  Will you be able to cope?

Our area is okay Judy (thankfully).  They say it could be off for 5 days in some areas.  :o

Julie yes I used the lard. I had some in the fridge from before when I made a pie from a Paul Hollywood recipe.

It was 30 minutes at 200 degrees, then reduce to 190 degrees and bake for another 30 minutes.

The mould I used was from Williams Sonoma. The pasties were quite big. The recipe said it made 4 pasties, but I made 7 from it.

Is there a problem with SA gas ladies?Sounds as though it could make things difficult.

JulieO and Katie my Mum always used to use lard and she had the most beautiful puff pastry you could imagine too. She broke all the rules I was taught but gee her pastry was delicious.

I forgot to mention that I made a batch of Garlic Confit.

There's a leak in a spur of the Moomba - Adelaide gas line cookie, thousands of homes in Whyalla and Pt Pirie are affected and it could take up to 5 days to repair.

Chookie, I saw those thingamies on a Facebook page, they look wonderful.
Cookie, I need to replenish my confit garlic, especially while we can purchase local garlic.  You will be ok for a little while.
