It does look good Margaret, what's wrong with it?
The relish is much thicker and too salty and is lacking something I can't put my finger on.

My first baking in a while today - the rhubarb in the garden has gone crazy, and DH did a huge harvest. I used up three measly stalks to make rhubarb coffee cake muffins today - only another dozen or so stalks to go (we also had rhubarb crumble last night).
Ironically, my plant was a small bit cut from mum's garden and now hers is not producing!

Perhaps you should give some back to Mum then Jo, that's one way to get rid of a few stalks. I tried growing it once but had no luck so well done you.

Jo, you can also make pink fizzy Champagne from Rhubarb.
My Rhubarb loves the new veggie garden so I am looking with interest at what you make.
I made the Bircher Museli and can't wait till breakfast to try it.

Suddenly remembered we had a Bridal shower catch up for my DIL to be, just love Thermie as I whipped up a capsicum and Sundried tomato and Dukkah Dip. So easy to take a very nice plate and all from the fridge.

Thanks for the rhubarb suggestions! Actually I have made the rhubarb curd once before but had forgotten all about it - will need to add eggs to the shopping list first, but will make at the end of the week.
Pink rhubarb champagne...must look into that one too. Sounds good!
And I will definitely have to make enough to share with mum - I have suggested she takes some stalks or we divide my plant, but I think she'd prefer a couple of small jars of something.

When is the wedding Bedlam? It's all very exciting.
Happy Rhubarbing Jo. I think your Mum has the right idea.

Today I'm making some kind of nutella pastry twist thing. It's a combination of the quick puff pastry recipe from the basic cookbook, and other nutella pastry dishes I've seen. Not sure how it will turn out, I wasn't sure what I was doing with the criss crossing and stuffed it right up. Still, it's in the oven right now, and if it's tasty, then it worked well enough for me to improve upon it next time.

Sarah, it is always good to have a go.
Today I have made 10 jars of marmalade for a fund raiser organized by the friend who runs the swap table at the Farmers Market. All made in TMX. Very manageable .
Also made Red Silk Chicken in the mini slow cooker. I had the sauce in the freezer.

I'm making up a batch of Spag Bolg from my old EDC as I like that recipe better than the later versions.
