Thermomixers Quince Paste recipe is a classic.  The Qumquat Paste is lovely.

No cooking here at the moment; Christmas over, then DH birthday over and family gone home so a quiet day here today. I am off to look for those cherry recipes now.

The cumquat paste looks brilliant Chookie. It's nice to settle down isn't it Troupie.
Here is Chookie's Malt Loaf that I made yesterday. I'd forgotten how lovely it is.

Paste looks good as does the malt loaf.
I made my baked cheesecake today to take to a New Year's Eve bbq.  Just found out it's going to be 40c tomorrow and I'm now thinking a fruit platter might be better.
Thanks for the tip chookie re freezing apricots. Will do that with some.

I was planning pizza tonight, but we'll be having that at lunch, so not sure yet about tonight's meal.

Both the Cumquat Paste and the Malt Loaf look good.

I cooked two stuffed chicken breasts in the Easy Cooker this morning before the kitchen heated up.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

I've made Yoghurt, Vegetable Stock and a BIG batch of Spag Bol for the GK's. Will divide it up into containers for DD to freeze. They never seem to get tired of it.
Having Pizzas tonight, as per DH's request.

Made a rye and seed loaf this morning. It isn't a large loaf but think it will be ok sliced up to go with dinner tonight as we are having friends over.

That looks lovely Mich. I really like rye flour in bread.

Is it normal for rye loaves not to rise as much?
