I've made Milo, rice, & Chicken Korma today. Over the weekend DD3 took over the  *: cooked Chinese Steamed Buns wonderful!! And then DD3 made hotcross buns, then we had a BBQ with 5GC plus their parents, DD2 made beetroot salad, potato salad and a green salad (not in the TM), whilst I contributed a mayonnaise & sweet chilly sauce. Sunday evening I made Steamed Chicken in mustard sauce with potatoes cooked in the basket and the sauce cooking underneath and then veggies on the top tray of the varoma. Now tomorrow I'm going to have to try those cinnamon scrolls! :) :)

I second that - it is stunning.  Yotam Ottolenghi has a weekly recipe column in The Guardian called The New Vegetarian.  You can find links to it here http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/vegetarian.   Not TMX recipes, of course, but good to read nonetheless

I went to use my TMX yesterday and I thought the lip on the bowl looked funny. It turns out that it had been dropped and the lip was all bent up. Boy was I  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( but it was no good crying over a bent lip. DH very carefully fixed it for me as there was no way the lid was going to lock on with a bent lip. It is fine now but my beautiful precision made machine is no longer perfect. I felt as though my world had caved in. Managed to get some bread made and it came out of the oven about 1 minute before we lost our power in the storm last night. OUr power came back on about 1 hour ago. It was horrid without power for about 16 hours. Makes you realise how much we rely on it.
I do hope all other Perthites and surrounds have not had too much damage from the storm.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Oh no Cookie!!!  I hope that it is working well now.  I bet your DH was super careful when fixing it (perhaps with you supervising over his shoulder ;)).

I can fully understand your emotion Cookie, lucky you have a handy DH to fix it for you.  Well you have been waiting for rain for so long in Perth and look how it came to you.  Hope there were no problems at your place.  Nice to have you back by the way.  Hope you had a good holiday.

Thanks Judy. Yes we had a wonderful holiday. DD bought a new handbag to celebrate the new job and we both bought shoes.

I found the storm rather scarey, but then I don't cope well with wind. No damage thank goodness. The lass over the road lost some of her fence so DH has been helping her fix that. We were without power for nearly 15 hours, but we put our generator on for 2 hours at a time and ran the fridge and the freezer. Didn't run it after 8pm though or before 7.30am. At the moment we've lent it to friends in the next suburb who are still without power.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Welcome back Cookie!. Glad you had a great holiday. Not such a good welcome home to find the TMX damaged but at least DH could fix it- He's a clever man.

Today I have made Swiss Almond & Carrot Cake, but haven't got around to icing it yet, also made yogurt which I will try to make into yogurt cheese tomorrow.  Later I will be making Pasta e Fail.   :)

Lot's of people here on the forum would probably call it that anyway Rainbow.  We really like it (with extra garlic, extra cheese and 500g of pasta), but lot's of people aren't keen.  Pasta e fagioli has had very mixed reviews! :)
