Yesterday I tried my hand at making fancy biscuits as a trial for GD 21st birthday in a few weeks time.  Not very successful shape wise but GDs 9 and 17 thought they were ok and took them home.   More practice need I think.

Today will be potato salad and vegetable fritatta.

Mab, that is a bit of a challenge you have set yourself. I'm sure someone will eat the rejects.
I back making Kefir. Think this will fit into new diet programme.
Chicken thigh casserole for lunch. Salmon salad for dinner.

No cooking as such here. The biscuit barrel has plenty in it and the bread supply is good. Just dinner tonight which will be a stir fry.

Well done Astarra.
Might make some SD English Muffins. Mix today and cook tomorrow.
Have got back into making Kefir again. Using it instead of Yoghurt as it has more goodies in it. Will strain some and make a soft cheese. Can't use it in cooking as it kills the good bugs.

Does the kefir taste like yoghurt Chookie? I have possibly asked before!!

I checked the biscuit barrel and it is empty now! I will make something for it later today. It's very humid and I don't want to heat up the kitchen too early.
It seems unusual you having heat Astarra. Its something I don't associate with your part of the country.

Cookie, it tastes like yogurt but is more liquid. The good thing is that it just sits on the bench. Once it becomes active it takes about 24 hours to work. I used the strained 'cheese' in a dip and the liquid in a SD loaf.
I bought a kit to get started. Mad Milly.
The recipe that I posted for Lemon Kefir Icecream is the 3rd most popular one on my Blog.

I've used a couple of Mad Millie kits. I will look for one next time I'm at a kitchen shop.

Also sone hamburger rolls for dinner and some of Chookie's SD crumpets. Oops nearly forgot I made Chookie's garlic pizza ?? For lunch too.
