Nice bread rolls Cookie.

Yesterday I made 2 lots of Patty cakes, one lot to the family and DS took the second lot to his GF.

Chookie, going without bread can’t be easy. I do love my bread. I’m sure you will be able to make a good GF one.

I made a rye SD overnight bread and was planning to do a Classic Loaf. My starter seemed a little unhappy so I have got rid of most of it and will feed it up over the next couple of days.

I bought some GF bread flour.  Made 2 small loaves from their recipes.   Easy, made in TMX.  Basically same process as yeast bread.  Not tooooooo bad. Certainly not real bread.
Cookie, I think that is a good way to go with the SD starter.

It looks just like ‘real’ bread to me Chookie.

The bread looks good Chookie.

I have made a pot of pumpkin & vegetable soup and have lamb shanks in the SC for dinner tomorrow.

The GF Bread is better than the bought loaves,   However it is not like real bread.

I have been meaning to mention this for ages....when I knead bread in the TMX in cold/ cool weather , I knead at 37 degrees. It kick starts the yeast.

Last night we had Pear and Ginger sponge Pud.   It is the first really successful GF dish I have made.  I used White Wings GF SR flour.

I also made Bol sauce and topped it with Awesome Cheese sauce , served over GF pasta.  Pretty good.

Thanks for the bread tip Chookie. I always heat my liquids with the yeast at 37 degrees before anything.

My starter made a lovely Classic loaf yesterday. It just needed a good regenerating.

A couple of recent bakes that I don’t think I posted. I always mean to then forget.
The finished Anzac biscuits with Citrus Curd in.
