Last night we had farfallina's chicken cordon bleu but I filled it with mascarpone and thinly sliced tomato. I didn't put enough mascarpone in so will next time.
Tonight it's a Nico quiche. Hopefully with Tapioca pudding .

Tonight i made butter for the first time.  No dramas as I read all the posts,  yes,  10 pages of them ,  thanks everyone.  From 600 mls.  of thickened cream,  I got 280g of butter and about 1/2 cup of buttermilk.

JD, making butter isn't something new to me.   I made it the old fashioned way as a kid.  Have eaten butter made on farms in Northern Vic,  and it always fascinated me because it was so pale.  Some used to add yellow colour to it.  Don't know what they used.

My Mum did too Chookie and I'd love to have her watch me make butter to show her how quick and easy it can be done today. She used to work in a fish and chip shop when I was a kid and they used to add this yellow food colouring to their batter too. I don't think that is done these days though.

i havent been cooking as much as i should lately, i havent really felt motivated to do anything much (must be this cold weather!) but today i at least made some bread, will do butter shortly as well as butter chicken for dinner.  i am a huge fan of cyndi o's tapioca pudding so maybe i will do some of that after dinner... so nice on a cold winters night!
Today I made a vegetable rice...basically rice with peppers, courgettes, onions, garlic in a buttery sauce in Herman.

Then found some wraps I had already, filled them full of the rice, a splot of smoked pepper sauce and a dollop of sour cream, rolled them up and ate them...delicious and simple.
yum mali i like the sound of this, i might have to give it a go

Soup, soup and then more soup.  It is freezing here. Bread rolls to go with it too. Either Isi's or Tenina's.

I have been living off freezer meals all week (can't see much extra space though ??? ???) so no main meal cooking.  Today I did a batch of isi's normal bread rolls and Chookie's Caramel Apple Pudding.

Judy,  hope you enjoy the Caramel Apple Pud.  Today i have cooked Green Tomato,  chutney , pickle and have you ever heard of green tomato sauce.?   All cooked on stove top with TMX as assistant.  Tonight I am trying a new pud.  Berries covered by a very light sponge.  Will post if OK.

I only had about half an hour to make dinner and dessert to take to a potluck tonight (because I was out at a demo), so I made Kedgeree, and Berry Foam with some leftover Torte Caprese for dessert - very quick!  Other than that, made vege stock concentrate this morning, then lots of stuff at the demo.  Haven't been doing lots of cooking because of moving - hopefully I'll be able to see the floor soon, then I'll have more time to cook!!!   :D

We had leftover Pumpkin soup with some curry paste added to it last night. Rolls from the freezer and a pasta dish. For dessert I made the Souffle Orange Tapioca cream from the British Larder site. I have posted a review of it. It was just right for a cold evening.
Tonight is roast so DH has some meat for lunches for the week while he is doing a bit of relief work.  Perhaps Leek and Potato soup.
