What a feast JD. Sounds like you are all organised and can relax and enjoy the evening with your family. Well done!

Hope it all went well Judy.
I made some of farfallina's daisy bread yesterday. It is lovely. Tonight is some sort of chicken dish in the TMX, I have just made ILB chocoate cake and before that I tried my hand at making some Paneer from the Indian book. I hope it goes well.

Have made just the sauce from baf65 chicken recipe, chinese steamed bunslast night , lovely went down a treat, walnut pastry for an onion flan (delicious magazine), didn't try cooking the onion in tmx but maybe next time, and the usual stock, butter, washing powder. Tonight we will be having Bombay Potatoes from the Indian cook book. I just checked the Paneer recipe and that is one I would like to try, keep us updated cookie on how it turned out and what you used it for.

We had a meal tonight of lasagna and veg, lemon cordial, bread and quandong cake (I just added some stewed quandong from our tree to the edc muffin recipe). Nice to say 'I made all this from scratch!'

tonight we made pork dim sum 'shau mei' from the full steam ahead cookbook, they were nice but a little plain for me and i honestly cant be bothered with fiddly food sometimes but my dh really wanted these for dinner, so i did it.....
then i had a leftover chocolate self saucing pudding from last night (recipe from quirky jo), so i made a quick custard and had some with the pudding (my treat for when the boys are in bed)! tomorrow i am gonna try farfallinas chicken with almonds and make ilb's choc cake.

I was pleased with the paneer. I'll post a review of it. It doesn't really have any taste at all, although after tasting it I wanted another try. I marinaded it in Tikka paste for about an hour and then cooked it for 20 minutes or so, mixed with a bit of yoghurt and ate it. It takes up other flavours well.

Before I start, bought Master Chef, vol 2 magazine. Good value for $5.
Yesterday, made pumpkin soup and Isi's rolls
Today, and in preparation for visitors tomorrow,
Sour dough bread, took 4 hours for the 2nd. rise as I have been feeding the culture only once every 2 weeks.
cheese sauce, EDC book
Isi's prawn soup, will add the prawns tomorrow
Butter, added 100mls. rice bran oil to 1200 mls of cream. very spreadable.
Kangalanga, sauce from the Meat on the Menu book, for a pasta bake ( had this for tea tonight ) makes 6/8 serves
Will be making Queen of Puddings tomorrow, and mint sauce to go with the roast lamb.

I'm tired reading that Chookie. I've subscribed to Masterchef. I got 11 copies for $38 which I thought was ok.
Judy I made your chicken soup-it is beautiful. I also made Kathryn's white chocolate and lemon biscuits. They are also very nice.

Nice to see everyone still at it. I haven't done much since my last party effort but today did fancy some mashed potatoes with our steamed vegies and pork fillet snitzels. Also made Brazens carrot cake with cream cheese frosting for visitors morning tea tomorrow -

Judy i thought you had given up on cooking for a while, Can't keep a good girl away from her TMX. Made the Sticky Date Pudding from the EDC book. Cake made 12/14 serves, and sauce about 6. Next time I will make 1/2 cake recipe and full sauce recipe.

Chookie, was there much of an article in there about tmx or just an ad?
Last night we had roast lamb rack and made the gravy with the Beef Stock Concentrate, Flour, Veggie water and a bit of meat juices. Very nice.
Tonight Nico's Thai Chicken dish for visitors with rice and steamed veggies. Went down a huge treat. Plus choc custard in pastry cases with a strawberry on top which was eyed off all evening until desserts and throughly enjoyed. So quick and easy
