K Atie, no recipe but very simple.
Cook plums just covered by water., skins and pips.
Put through Mouli
Add 3/4 volume in sugar to pulp
Stir to dissolve sugar and boil. ( can add a bit of lemon juice if plums very ripe. )
Remove scum
Test for setting on cold plate in freezer
Bottle in sterile jars.

We are having a battle with the birds for tomatoes at the moment.  I don't mind them having a few but they are getting greedy >:(  We are having to pick them as soon as they start to ripen and then put them on the window sill to finish ripening.  I have been roasting them and then putting them in the freezer.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Lots of lovely tomatoes Mab. Birds seem to feel they have a right to whatever we grow. The Corellas are busy stripping our olive tree and the olives are still very green.

I made a Classic Loaf today.

Mab, good work with the Tomatoes.  When we grow something we hate to see it wasted. The roasted ones look delicious.

What a disaster. I cooked the mixture for the Savoury jelly past the jelly point and it turned into toffee .  Tastes delicious but is set in jars. Will try reheating in a water bath as I’m running out of jars and Ral  says he would eat the toffee.
Didn’t get my baking done yesterday.  Will be very busy today.

AT least the results are edible Chookie. I'm not sure if I will be cooking today, I will see.

Toffee sounds good,Chookie!!

I have heaps of glass jars, if only I could get them to you - I might try to take a run over in your direction in a couple of weeks if that works for you.

Marina, you are always welcome.  Swap jars for jam and/ or eggs.

I'll try to sort something out in the next couple of weeks.  I think there is a long weekend coming up soon - I am not sure what for - maybe there is a football game or horse race happening or something?

... I just checked, it is Labour Day, a sensible holiday!  I'll be in touch before then.

We have the Labour Day holiday at the beginning of March.

I made the Coffee and Walnut cake from the latest issue of The Women's Weekly today. We haven't tasted it yet.
