S’mores ... roasted large marshmallows with our new two pronged fork , ginger biscuits and a piece of lint chocolate topped with a ginger biscuit squished together!! Very decadent .

We sometimes have a similar thing when we are out camping. Last time we toasted the marshmallows on welding rods as that was all we had.

I shouldn’t even be here to cook as I was supposed to be going back to Melbourne with the kids but I’ve had Covid for a week. It’s not as bad as I expected, I’ve had plenty of sleep and today made this quick, easy pea soup. I haven’t tried it yet but it has good reviews. https://www.superkitchenmachine.com/2012/16848/thermomix-pea-soup-recipe.html

Snap Judy I've also have Covid for the past week.  I thought I was just having a bad reaction to the flu & covid jabs but I was wrong  Today is the first day I have  started to feel a bit better.  DH has a few sniffles so maybe he is next.

Well, well, well Margaret, what a coincidence that we caught it at the same time. I guess it’s inevitable for us all. I hope neither of us end up with long Covid.

Mab and Judy, how awful for you to have covid. The numbers are rising again. Do take car both of you.
Judy, I think I'm more concerned about long Covid than the virus itself. It is extremely debilitating.

Judy, disappointing that you couldn't head back to Melbourne with family. Maybe next time.

Sorry to hear that you have both had COVID.  As yet I haven't had it but I have heard that the strain that is going around at the moment is very hard on people that haven't had it as yet - NOVIDs!  I am hoping that I remain a NOVID.  Booked in for jab no. 5 in a fortnight.

I made Tenina's Auntie Debbie's Banana bread today. I bought a heap of bananas on the weekend for $1.79 kilo https://tenina.com/recipes/aunty-debbies-banana-bread

Just catching up.
KAtie, any apples will make apple jelly. The ones I used were small windfalls from my friends tree. I also saved pips and cores from apples that I was bottling. The formula that I used was , 1 litre of strained cooked liquid, 700 g of sugar, 3 teaspoons jamsetta and juice of a large lemon. All into TMX, Cook on Varoma, speed 4 until set. Mine took 2 hours.

I made a muesli slice from Recipe Community. https://www.recipecommunity.com.au/baking-sweet-recipes/muesli-bars/9zkky54m-e7dd4-876214-beea0-f0hvvaib

It's quite nice. I usually have some sort of muesli slice in the freezer so if we need to grab something as we go out we can.

Chookie , I like the look of the apple jelly, such a pretty colour

DD is bringing my TMX home from its service tomorrow, in the mean time I have been cooking the old fashioned way.   Today I made 2 Turkish breads from a Cookidoo recipe and a pavlova both made in the Kenwood mixer.
