Thank you for the kind words re my brother. He has a very large cut on his arm. It certainly looks as though the specialist would have got it all.

Made a 2 ingredient Sate. Sauce. Very handy and nice. I’ve posted it in sauces thread.
As I posted the recipe I noticed the SOS recipe. I’d forgotten this handy one.

I made some of the Orange Biscuits from Cookidoo. They are very nice. I was too lazy to roll them out and cut them out, so I rolled them into balls and squashed them with a small whisk.

Pumpkin soup and vege stew - my two reliable freezer fillers!  Also made the satay sauce Chookie posted earlier this week - it turned out very well, making RTE's egg sandwiches today, a capsicum dip and, if I have time, some more miracle spray

Made up a soup recipe. Home made chicken stock, cauli, carrot, celery and too much white pepper. I had a tablespoon of mustard sauce left over so added that also.   Very nice.
Cooked corned beef and mustard sauce.

Last week I managed to buy some tomatoes at a reasonable price so made more chutney and then some tomato sauce.  I've also made a date and walnut loaf, Apple turnovers  and tried out a recipe for Rye Bread, something I have never made before.

I love rye bread Mab. I always try to have a loaf going for me.
I feel like cooking, but everything is full. I think I should do some housework, it's very necessary. ;D ;D ;D

I've fed my rye SD starter. I was a bit late doing it. Hopefully I can use it this afternoon. I can always pop the dough in the fridge overnight. There is a Cookidoo recipe I'd like to try.

I may give the biscuit barrel a boost too, it's very low.

Yesterday I made a cabbage soup from the forum, I used to enjoy it but it was horrible so I threw it out. Also made a smoked cod mornay which I loved last time I made it but that also didn’t taste any good so binned that too. With the last of the 1/4 cabbage which was given to me I made cabbage hash browns, I enjoyed that last time too and yes, you’ve guessed it - in the bin after the first slice.  I enjoyed the afternoon of cooking so was so disappointed that it was all a waste of money and time. I’ll have a break for now then you can bet I’ll get back into trying things again.
