I’m very pleased to read that others forget ingredients. DD tells me I should get everything out first.
I’m making another Thermomumma loaf of bread and some orange and cranberry rolls.

Because I used to do this regularly as well (especially when I first got my TMX) I now take out all the ingredients, pre-measure them out and put them in cooking order (does this make me OCD?) to one side, then put aside the used ingredients once it has been used and I generally manage to get everything right most of the time - although I do admit to ending up with one or two :o odd experiments in the past.

It sounds an excellent idea Marina.

Yes we all forget to add an essential ingredient at times. I also often forget to serve a cooked dish that I have in the microwave, AT or oven.
In my new small kitchen I now put the ingredients on the left side of the TMX and when used, on to the right side. Not as well organized as Marina, but so far seems to work.
Yesterday I made the Cumquat jelly. It refused to set. I ended up adding a full packet of Jamsetta.
My friend and I picked about 4 Ks of Cumquats . Yesterday the were selling for $23 a kilo at Wilson’s.

Having a TMX has made me more organised with ingredients, I normally put the used ingredients to one side so I know I’ve used them. Basic cooking classes at school taught me to lay them out in order but we all forget an ingredient now and then . I forget to serve things sometimes too . That’s when it becomes a progressive dinner !!

The only thing that I’m not allowed to forget is the garlic bread.  It’s always the first thing to disappear from the table.  I make my own garlic butter and freeze it. Yes , home made bread also.
Yesterday made crème of Celery soup from my blog. Gave most to my cleaner who loved it. She unexpectedly bought me lunch. KFC, hell , I could do without that but the thought was nice.
Also, my next door neighbor sent in a lovely rice and meat dish.  They must all think I’m fading away.  Wish I was.

I thought you looked quite slim in that cumquat picking photo Chookie, others usually notice our changes before we do. You’ve found some more lovely people since the move, they would be repaying some generosity which you no doubt have shown to them. KFC, yes not a healthy choice but once in a blue moon acceptable.

Today I am making the filling for the RTE family pie, to be finished tomorrow.  Also Curried Sausages for the freezer and a serve for GS.  I found some well out of date cream in the fridge so turned that into butter.  I was given a large bunch of rhubarb yesterday so have stewed that with orange and will make it into rhubarb and apple crumble, some for us and some for DIL.

I made some Brownie Biscuits the other day and today made some rolled up jam tart things. The pastry is cream, butter and SR flour. Thank goodness for the thermomix as you had to blend the cream and butter together. https://sugarspunrun.com/brownie-cookies/

I made some more of the little jam roll things today and a batch of Healthy Cookies from Cookidoo. They are to take over to my brother’s place tomorrow. His son and family are over from the Gold. Last for a couple of days. My brother rang fairly early this morning to say he has to have rushed surgery tomorrow. He had a biopsy on a nasty on his arm on Tuesday. They rang early this morning to say it’s Melanoma and he is having it cut out tomorrow afternoon. It’s his second one.

I hope everything goes well for your brother, Cookie.  That melanoma sounds nasty.

Cookie, hope all goes well for your brother. Love your biscuits.
Tomorrow I’m teaching a member of my Exercise class to make bread.  I’ve got some apples that need using up so will make some apple cakes.

Oops, forgot. I’ve just made third lot of cream of celery soup. DD also loved it. I’m going to add a Tim of crab to a serving today, to see how it tastes. It’s fairly bland so should be able to carry some different flavour and texture.
