Cookie, would love to see it with the glaze.
I found a packet of Japanese bread mix in the pantry. It looked like it had a lot of rice flour in it. I added bread flour to make it up to 500 g. I mixed in bread machine and baked in oven. Result, a fine crumb loaf.
Made a nice salad sandwich.

That sounds very interesting Chookie.
The cake is all finished and I’m very pleased with it. It was hard to photograph with the mirror glaze. Hopefully it will taste nice.

Cookie, the cake looks very nice.

I have a lamb and vegetable casserole in the oven at the moment.

Cookie, thanks for the photo. That looks beautiful.
I made some malt biscuits from my blog. They are very sweet.

Your cake looks great, Cookie.

I have a bundt tin question - if you cook a cake in a Bundt or round tin with a central hole in it (clumsy wording there, but I am not sure what you call the central column in a round tin!).  Anyway, getting away from that, do you still cook the cake in such a tin for the same amount of time as you would for a 'standard' cake in a round tin, or for a shorter time and the same temperature?

I’m not too sure Marina I have a couple of cakes I always cook in a ring tin, and only that tin. I’m sure Chookie will help us.

I bought myself the hundredth anniversary Countrywomen’s Association cookbook the other day. Purely sentimental reasons. I have Mum’s from 1948, inscribed by her parents and my 1972 edition. I made Peanut Biscuits from it today.

Marina and Cookie, I don’t know either. Like Cookie, I have certain recipes that I only cook in the special tins. The cakes cooked in the Bundt tin are usually very big to get the full effect.
If I wanted to bake a recipe that I like, in a Bundt tin, I would start testing 10 minutes before the normal finish baking time. I write the results and note on the recipe. I also take a photo of the cake in the tin.
For bread, I put a slip of paper into the tin with instructions.

Thanks for the bundt tin / round tin feedback Chookie and Cookie.  I have never actually cooked in a bundt tin, simply because I was never sure about the cooking time - maybe one day I will feel adventurous and give it a try - will have to buy the tin first, though!

I made some crackers similar to Shapes. They are nice but need a bit more of a kick.

Today I made some SD discard crackers. We tend to eat them too fast as they are yummy.

Yesterday I made a large pot of Pea and Ham soup. I made it in the slow cooker.
Today I’m teaching a friend how to make SD crumpets in the pie machine. I’ll also make bread sticks and Portuguese Custard tarts as I have visitors coming to stay for a few days, tomorrow.
