What are you been cooking today

Made Lemon and Poppy seed biscuits yesterday. The stollen are done and recipe posted as are the mini panettone. These were heaven. Fruit mince tarts are in the freezer as are lots of savoury biscuits. All I need to do today is the shopping!!! and parmesan grissini. I think. Will have to check my list. I love cooking............especially with Termite.

Tonight I just made the Babi Pong Tay (stewed pork with fermented soy beans) from the 2011 calendar as I had some pork belly. It was awesome. Thanks Chrys for the wonderful recipe. I can honestly say that I have had pork done ths way at yum cha before and this is much better!!!! I can't believe how well this tastes and it looks great too. Had lots of sauce to mop up the rice and bok choy I cooked at the same time.

I prefer baking to anything else Judy. Tomorrow is make jellies and boil vegies needed for salads. then Friday is cook the meats and make the salads. Then all I have to do on Friday is dress the salads and slice the meats. And of course eat..........and eat.........and eat.

Zan, I can pm the recipe but it wont be for a couple of days. Also, my consultant gave me a freebie 2011 calendar when I held a Varoma demo, but I dont know how else to get hold of them. HO would probably know.

I've got plenty of calendars Zan, but it would probably be quicker to get one off your consultant - they cost $15.

Merlin did you find the pork was nice and tender? I love the look of that recipe but wondered about this.

The pork was really tender plus if you factor in the marinating time and the amount of sauce at the end, the meat was almost falling apart. The recipe says to marinate for at least 15min but I had it marinating a few hours. You also have to fill the bowl with water to just cover the pork so I felt it came out very tender and delicious. No question I'll be doing that recipe again!!! The only downside is that the TM bowl is so full with the pork belly etc, you can't cook rice at the same time. You could do bok choy etc in the Varoma which is what I ended up doing.

Nik our kids must be fairly similar ages - my dd1 was 9 on the 14th.

Oh how funny.  Mine are all boys 9 (now) 6 (he turned 6 in November) and a 2 1/2 yr old (he'll be 3 in June)

The boys all got a new cousin on William's birthday.  Her name is Cara and she was 9lb 8.  Mum isn't too great apparently, she bled very badly and the medics still haven't ruled out a hysterectomy (not good news at 20!)

Nicola oh no hope she is ok. Am guessing she wants more kids if she is 20. But usually if it's an hysterectomy it will be an emergency/immediate one.

My 2nd was 7 in October, and number 3 will be 4 in March, so you waited longer for 2 and 3 than me. (smart woman, lol)
But mine are all girls.
One of my best friends from the UK (now in the US) we had ours all together with hers all boys.
