Not a lot of TMX ing going on here at the moment. Been a bit busy. I was going to do dinner in it tonight but had visitors, so it's grilled snags, mashed potatoes and corn. One of my favourite meals.

Fairy Wrens are a tiny native bird.  Their body is about the size of a ping pong ball.  ( not much meat there Judy)  The girls are brown and the boys turn bright blue in the Spring. Their little legs are like tooth picks and they have a little tail that sticks up.  We feed them just outside our back door,  on a table.  They really enjoy bread crumbs during the winter.  Big birds will kill them, so they like the protection of bushes.  The only time DH uses the TMX is to make their bread crumbs.

I love Wrens (Never known them as fairy wrens) They are cute little birds. Definitely wouldn't be trying to eat them. Would need 50 for a feed lol.

Well it had to happen, my first disaster.  Thought I would make chow mein mince( a family throw together). It tasted ok but was grey and textureless. Back to following all your lovely recipes.

I was getting a little "cocky" especially with my bread, so I probably needed my "learning experience"!

Ah yes.....gorgeous little birds!
We have them everywhere here, dancing & POOPING  :P and then some more pooping!
They love reflective surfaces, so my heavily tinted car with dual sunroof's make a lovely pooping surface for them  :-\
With my old car, they only would look at themselves in the side mirrors.....which I could control with putting plastic bags over mirrors.   This new car has too many shiny surfaces!

over here we call them Blue Wrens, and they are found a bit further south where it is a little bit cooler.

Judy, no I wish I had seen cookies recipe. Next time, thanks for showing me.
Maddy, we have the same problem with the blue wrens and cars our way. Not to mention mudlarks on any shiny area. Love all the birds though.

We have to put plastic shopping bags on our wing mirrors to keep the blue wrens off.  It's a small price to pay for such a beautiful bird - even if they are cocky little devils!!

Well I did all of that in less than 3 hours and that oncludes making the lasagna and cooking in the oven. I have to stop as we are not going to be able to eat it all, I was going to make beef rending but will freeze my beef for another day.

The first day back from holidays I made coleslaw, was hanging out for some raw veggies, also made fried rice, Anzac cookies, and rice pudding.
We have loads of food to get through, might make some bread tomorrow
