JD what did you think of teninas unami paste...i was a little disappointed after all the raving about it but i think measuring the dulse flakes in thermie was a mistake as i ended up with ALOT of dulse flakes which i think overpowered the flavour ?? did you measure them in the thx??

No, for small amounts under 10ml I measure with my digital scales for more accuracy frozzie.  I had a taste on a cracker and thought it was quite OK but have added a tablespoonful to some carrot & tomato soup I made yesterday.  We will have that for tea again tonight and I may be able to tell if it has lifted it or not.  I also put the leftover tomato pulp from the umami into the soup too so as not to waste it. The rest is now frozen in my cube tray for adding to anything  ;)

Yes Robyn, I have been a busy bee today.  Had more energy than I've had for over a week with a darn sore throat/laryngitis so put the extra energy to good use.

Testing, testing

I am amazed. That was so easy even I could do it. Haven't made anything today as we've been out for a long run in the old car.

Easy when you know how Cookie - if only everything was that easy  ;)

Uni, the umami paste definitely lifted the soup so when I post the recipe I will include it in the recipe.

Today I made Yoghurt, Valeries yoghurt cheese and some marinated cheese ball, and Helenes ricotta cheese, all for the first time(except for the yoghurt) OMG I just love the ricotta will never buy it again from the shop & the yoghurt cheese is also nice with a bit of a tang to it. The cheese balls I wasn't sure about the herbs as I hadn't found the marinated recipe then, so just rolled them in some masterfoods Greek seasoning, and put them into EVO, to try a little later. My problem is how to stop going to the fridge to try the cheeses, (just to make sure they still taste the same!!) if I'm not carefull there won't be any left for tomorrow.  Also any ideas what to do with all that left over whey, surely you just don't throw it away!
