Judy that cake looks good. I'll probably just make the full mixture and use the remainder for cupcakes, thanks for the offer though.

Change of plans in this kitchen - I have decided to use Amanda's Brownie recipe and have small round cutters that I will use after the brownie is cooked, the extra bits of cake I will throw into the 2nd batch of ginger bites, no one will be any the wise - confusion reigns at the moment  :D

Cookie.....YOU DID IT!  :D Looks fabulous  8)
Bet DD was so pleased.
Are you waiting til Christmas to eat it?
Our evaporative cooling through the house causes havoc with moisture, so everything has to be air-tight......still some hot weather coming, so might have to wait a little longer to make mine.
.........EAT CAKE!

johnro do you think the brownie mixture will come out easily if I cook in mini muffin trays? I really like the angled sides this gives rather than the straight up and down of cutter with a round cutter - maybe I'm being a little too picky.

Turned cold here today so making Pumpkin Soup,(going to try the Bacon Dust on it).

Yesterday made Fruit loaf in TMX and Bread Machine with 5 teaspoons of Quatre epices.   Very interesting as the spice mix has white pepper in it.  It gives a very slight kick to the loaf.  I have posted both the Fruit loaf and spice recipe.  Loaf can be baked in bread tin in oven.

I use pepper in quite a few recipes that include other spices.

I make a pumpkin bread that includes a fair amount of pepper.   Some black peppers have a "fruity" overtone which works very well in sweet things.

The recipe I used for the Gingerbread house was from the New Idea site. It gives you the pattern etc for cutting the dough. I'll try to link it.  The house that I sort of copied was in the New Idea a couple of weeks ago. It gave pictorial instructions for building the house. Actually if you Google New Idea Gingerbread House you will get it and others from Better Homes and GArdens etc.
Here the one I used and you can get the pattern here too.

Maddy, we're waiting until Christmas to eat the gingerbread house. We're having people round during the week so they can see it. I plan to put white pashmak around the edge of the house.

So far today - finished off the rum and raisin icecream, Dan Lepard's Sour Cream bread from JulieO and in the oven at the moment Golden Syrup cake. Hopefully a couple more things before the day is finished.

Cooking Capsicum & Chorizzo Risotto for dinner.  I like this and I don't usually muff it.  But anything is possible today, Have already baked a batch of slightly better than yesterdays bread buns, but nothing to get excited over.  Will try again tomorrow.  (I am rubbish at bread baking).  I also didn't have a lot of success with my dipping of the Cherry Bites.  (I think I must be rubbish at chocolate melting as well).  But on a more positive note, (or not) I had a wonderful day of eating bread and Cherry Bites, and  breaking my diet. Even badly dipped Cherry Bites taste really GOOD.   Back to the drawing board, or wagon, tomorrow I guess.
Cheers, Nola.
