Made loaf of bread using up all the Odd bits of flour,  some Spelt, laucke Sour dough ,  No Knead Dark Rye and a bit of white.
Made Chutney,  Pear, Lemon and Cardamon,  good but needs 2 months to mellow. Will post recipe.
Vegetarian Lasagne, cooked white sauce and tomato/eggplant mix in TMX.  Used Creamed Spinach from Quick Fix as base.

Making JD's Veroma Steamed corned beef with cabbage, chat potatoes and mustard sauce.

I have a bunch of plumcots (cross between an apricot and plum) that I am going to attempt to make
into jam.

Not much cooking today, promised to take the kids on an outing. Made Isi's rolls this morning which we had for lunch, was planning simple prawn & pesto linguine for dinner with pesto from a jar (DD doesn't like the fresh stuff  :(), then thought bugger it, I've got basil in the garden, I'm going to have a decent pesto for a change and it means I can use 'The Wiz'! So, lovely fresh pesto for me, boring tasteless stuff from a jar for DD!

I've never heard of a plumcots Dashingden - does the stone come out as easy as an apricot?  That's one thing I don't like about plums.

Robyn your shortbreads look lovely.

JD the stone comes away very easily just like an apricot. The fruit is about the size of a peach or nectarine.  I thought it was a peacharine tree but my neighbor told me it is a plumcot. The fruit is very nice if you can beat the birds to it.  We have only been in the house about a year and the previous owner never pruned the tree so it is too big to net.

They are Judy with my preference being the star shaped which has the addition of rice flour - more melt in your mouth and lighter.  I usually make shortbread using 115g rice flour and 250g p flour.   :)  :)
