I only have SILs Uni but have friends who only have DILS - they have no end of trouble with them but I can see what they are doing wrong (the MILs that is).

Tonight I made corned beef hash using the left over corned beef and potatoes from our roast the other night. Whiile they were in the pan cooking I whipped up a mustard sauce to serve them with.

Yesterday I made a Reuben Sandwich for lunch using the corned beef , cabbage and some Gruyere cheese on sourdough rye.  They used to serve these for lunch when I was in the Marines. I never liked them back then but now I find them a nice change.

The corned beef hash is the same. My mother used make hash when we were kids and we always called it dog food. Now it doesn't seem so bad.

Dashingden, I made this for tea tonight with my leftovers. DH loved it, I wasn't so enthralled with it but it wasn't bad. There are quite a few recipes I found, the hash like you did will be on my list next time.

JD's Weetbix breakfast smoothie, JO's Sourcream loaf, and Tenina's Vietnamese Chicken Salad (with the rug rats gave a big thumbs up to).

It's good to hear your dad 's home DG.
The Reuben sandwich sounds good, we had corned beef for dinner Monday night so this sounds like a nice lunch
followed by left over panettone bread & butter pudding that Cecilia reviewed. (it's my new favourite dessert)

Just had to try Superkitchenmachine's Mock Rice.  1/2 Cauli = 500g,  4 to 6 serves.  Cooked as instructed.  Great under Chicken Cacciatore. Will post recipe later for Cacciatore.  Was like rice ,  but sauce covered up any cauli taste.  Thank you Helene.

Made 2 lots of coleslaw.......1st lot was a complete failure, was distracted talking to my son and accidently turned dial to 7/8! Result=mush!! Second attempt, much better.
Made custard for salted caramel maple ice cream which is in the fridge ready to be put in the ice cream machine.
Also made butter with olive oil so it should be easier to spread. Havent made it before so should be interesting to see if it really is spreadable from the fridge.
