Dede you poor thing. I can understand about the crutches. DD couldn't get herself sorted out to use them when she hurt her knee.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Yeh I'm finding it really difficult to get about. My good foot is hurting and under my arms are really sore. I'm going to have to find something to pad the crutches so it doesn't hurt so much. I just watered the plants and nearly fell over with the crutches getting tangled in the hose lol. I have tall stools so they will come in handy. Lucky my eldest DS has is L plates so he drove me to the school to get the other kids. It's going to be a long 6 weeks I do think.

Oh and our house is set up for the disabled and elderly with rails etc already installed in the bathrooms. So that's really handy for times like this.

Probably can hire them Nazar. I just got a friend to make me some padded covers for me to see if that helps. If not I will look at those ones.
My family is falling apart already, DH seems a bit stressed without me organizing everything.

Poor you Dede, I can't imagine what it would be like but of course I do have all the disabled facilities here which would help somewhat.  Fancy taking you by surprise like that and leaving you stranded with no way of driving the car back home. If you knew what was going to happen you could have filled the freezer full of food to make life easier.  6 weeks is such a long time, good luck with it and please don't fall over and do anymore damage.  I hope the family are all prepared to help out heaps, you can at least supervise.

Your ghost tour sounds great maddy, much more fun than the one I went to recently at the old Adelaide gaol (it wasn't a sleepover thank goodness).  The goodies you are taking sound just the things I needed to spice up what was a pretty boring tour  :-))

The brioche certainly looks the part Julie, looking forward to your next attempt and subsequent review.

Hally, have a great weekend - I'm sure the boys will make a big hole in all the food you are taking.

Nice to hear from you Uni, hope you are enjoying yourself over there.

Won't be cooking much today. I'm sitting in the hospital car park waiting for my friends to pick me up as I have my leg plastered up and can't drive home. Waited 6 months to see a specialist with my Achilles tendentious problem. They decided to inject me with steroids and plaster my leg up for 6 weeks. Hope it works.
Now how will I cope? Got no choice now lol. I nearly fell flat on my face with the crutches.

Oh poor dede.. Hope it works for you too.. Hope the six weeks go fast too

Thanks for asking dede .. Im much better as is dh well not totally there.. Still bed rest but pain gone and he can walk around a bit and occasionally eats with us.. So some small blessings.  Kids are better too so hopefully we have had our dose for quite a few months..lol

Yesterday made the golden syrup cake and the dl cranberry and choc biscuits.. They were nice but we much prefer the cranberry and white choc and no one still has to be the fudgy wudgy bicies so making them today.. Not much cooking going on for us going on at the moment as have to cook buffet and nibbly type food for a party sat week so busy with that.. Do need to make the beef ale pie though from ffs as bought the beef..

Dede....that's no good at all.
I could only imagine how much chaos there would be, and it shows just how much you are the pulse of the family. I hope the many hands help out lots  ;)
