I had to take DS to the doctor today as he has the flu and needed a doctors certificate to take more than one day off (which he needs)
He was disgusted at the cost of going to the doctor, and on apprentice wages it cost him more to go to the doctor than he earns in a day :(
I must apply for a health care card for him now he's 16 and classed as an independent.

Made some lemon bar cookie cups which look like a cupcake as you cook them in cupcake shapes but are actually like a shortbread topped with lemon curd. They tasted not bad but a little unusual. The lemon curd part though was delicious as usual.

Harry looks cute Michele and wow those figs...........my mouth is watering.

DD has pneumonia so her antibiotic has to be changed and more time off work. She is so fed up (as I imagine her work mates are for having to pick up her work). Sadly budgie had to be put to sleep. The vet felt he was having sort of seizures. He was so quiet and couldn't really stand up it was horrid. He was very old. So we had to have a burial for him. Then to top the day off we then had a phone call saying BIL is having part of his foot removed with diabetes problems. I'll be very glad when tomorrow comes.

On a happier note the Tandoori chicken for dinner was delicious.

You get days like that Cookie.  Hopefully onward and upwards from here though and no more bad news, you've had enough for one day.  RIP poor budgie.  Best wishes to DD too.

Nothing you can do with pneumonia but to rest and rest some more. Lovely old budgie. So sad a way to go. And then the BIL. Well, you have had your three so life will get better.

On Wednesday I made mini eclairs and macarons for drinks and cake after my sons confirmation. He wasn't overly impressed by not being given a choice of dessert so also needed to make his favorite chocolate cake and strawberries.

I'm not sure if the photos have posted as its the first time I've tried posting via tapatalk.
