tasty do u remmber how much you paid for the scones, DS is now trading  breakfast, lunch and dinner on the weekends and i make the scones but have no idea on the price.

how much of the scones did u eat ?

We paid $3.50 for one with cream and jam.

We ended up eating it all as but we should've taken up the offer of the waitress to have it on her if we didn't like it.

I'm going to try and make the lemondae ones this week that you made.

We had Tenina's feta tart for lunch with leftover Sage & Blackpepper risotto and from the freezer some Potato & Feta parcels.

Busy day today. Cleaned out fridges and cooked meals with what we had. Going away 6am weds.

Lunch today and tmro red onion flan with ham. Part made pastry in TMX butter and flour.
Added water by hand, as I never measure, never chill, just make and roll! Always in a hurry!
While, rolling pastry I used TMX for sautéing red onions.
That was such a help timewise, no stirring and flan was fine. I'd read comments about flavour of onions but in this case I was very happy.

Flan was lovely. So was beet root salad, but FH doesn't like beets. Might try to slip some his way one day.

Trimmings from flan pastry rolled out and made tarte tartin with some old apples.
Then  *: for raw veg salad, variation on judys from the salad forum and then a small version of the beetroot salad.

Then some sponge dough that had been in the kitchen 2 days was turned I to English muffins. Dough made in TMX.

Sliced by hand onion and peppers and made a BBQ type chicken marinade for 2 chicken breasts. Left in fridge all, day.
Fried off in pan and flung in oven altogether tonight. Served with pasta and salad.
With tart tartin for pud with leftover cream.

On top of this I finished planting new plants in garden, found a bull for my DH to view on weds.
Took my pony out for a ride, and the farrier put new shoes on pony.
2 hrs ironing.

Must work to my list tomorrow to get everything done. and have to work few hours tmro too. probably won't have time to post.
May post when away as house we are going to at the w e has wifi. I know I will miss TMX already! No room to take, I had even considered it.

Must sort out second TMX  bowl when back from hol.

Didn't get biccies made though.
Usually when we go away I take lots of stuff as it is usually cheaper and nicer.
As we are staying in so many different places before we get to holiday house  because of beef expo and the car will be warm I can't do this.
Only taking porridge oats and tea, and flasks everything else will have to be bought while away. But the house we get to on Sunday does a nice welcome pack of welsh cakes, bara brith another things and we can order meals. Have ordered something for Sunday night and a lamb cawl for Monday as it is reasonably priced and I will feel on hol if some one else is cooking!

Have a nice holiday DJ.  Sounds like a lot of organising has to take place before you can have a break.

Uni - foccacia looks yummy.

Finally got around to making milo after buying the missing ingredients. This is so yummy and I think I ate half the amount by the spoonful! I've been stopping myself buying Milo the last few weeks so good to know there is a healthy alternative!

Thanks Amy for reminding me about it.
