I've just made eggplant lasagna using the TMX bolgnaise recipe.  Been a long time since I've made it, hoping it tastes as good as I remember.

If I get time I want to try the vanilla slice recipe on the forum.

Those buns look delicious Julie.

Made half quantity of nay-nays's scones today, misread the recipe and put in125g butter instead of milk. :-)) The scones were very crumbly but tasted ok.  I really must pay attention more when I am cooking.

Having left over roast beef and vegies for dinner tonight.

Judy are you following the recipe from FFS?

Thanks obbie and Yvette  :)

Not this time Julie, I did Tenina's last time but I did the one I posted here.  I cooked a 1kg piece for 1 hour in the steaming basket before adding potatoes, carrots & cauli to the varoma bowl/tray with some peas added towards the end and cooked them for approx 25 minutes. The meat was still in the steaming basket.  Melt in your mouth delicious  :)

Gert, I rarely do a recipe quite as quickly again as I have done this recipe.  It's nice to have some cold meat to cut into for sandwiches and now it is so much easier in the TMX I just love doing it for a simple meal that we both enjoy.

It depends on how big your piece is thermo18.  If it fits in the steaming basket that's where I put it, if not I put it in the varoma tray.  I prefer it in the basket though.

Just had the Guinness and beef stew for dinner. It was really good. I have a batch of Cinnabons rising on the counter ready for the oven.

Did you make the potato gems Judy?

Alas no Cookie.  I do love potato gems and hadn't bought them for a couple of years - now we are slowly going through the packet for an occasional treat.  I made the base with a bit of this and a bit of that - some soffritto, mince, sambal oelek, baked beans, topped with cheese then the potato gems.  Nice to use up small quantities of things and come up with a meal for 2.
