Was going to make taco spice by adding paprika, pepper and chilli to Bess tomato sauce recipe, but no chillies. Will have to make another day now.

I'm making some bread rolls (new recipe) if they turn out ok I will post the recipe later.
I find that bread rolls get eaten more than bread loaves around here. So I am trying to make a bit of variety. :)

You are a good mum Uni. That soup looks good.

My plans are out the window as I spent 2 hrs on the phone to a friend. ;@)
No Pikelets or Monte Carlos today. Coconut cake in the oven. Thinking of chocolate self saucing pudding for dessert on this cold rainy day.

Uni,  you are a very good mum. and DG a very good friend.

Today 2 grain bread sticks , 3/4 cooked. (for visitors tomorrow,) and 2 bread rolls from same dough for our lunch.
Made first test batch of Portuguese Custard Tarts.  DH said they were the best Custard Tarts he has ever had,  ( I think he was just ready for lunch)  Will post recipe as it is a mixture of 3 recipes.

Well they certainly look worthy of DH's comment Chookie - well done you  :-*

Today we had leftovers for lunch and I've made Sonan's Curry Apple Beef Stew for tomorrow's lunch for DH & his DS (sister) as I will be out.  I again did a variation of this recipe using the TMX and not the oven.

Made some Kaiser rolls, bimby chocolate cake, apple crumble and got a roast leg of lamb in the oven now.
Trying to keep busy this week to make time go quicker.
Friday is the day I get this cast off and I can wait :). I just want to have a good scratch and shave my legs ( looks like a forest lol)

Oh it's been a very long 7 weeks Judy. I know I won't be able to walk for a while, but at least I can have a shower without a plastic bag over my leg and one leg cocked up in the air (funny sight) and I can wear 2 shoes again. :)
