have just put a shoulder of lamb in the oven for 4 hours, along with a vegetable mix, passata, chicken stock and wait for it...400mis of vodka!!! We're going to have it with large rigatoni (as a ragu), parmesan etc but the cost of the meat and vodka mean this will only be a rarely cooked meal. I just had to make it to see how it tastes. Made a lemon cheesecake for dessert.

IS the Vodka for the cook?  :D :D

DW invited a fellow Principal over for tea tonight. So last night I made a Pumpkin Pie from the Official TM recipe site which I served with whipped cream for dessert.

Tonight for dinner I tried Farfalina's Pineapple stuffed chicken rolls with kiwi salsa served with steamed baby brocolini, cauliflower and sweet potato. It was very tasty but I think it would have been better if I used tinned pineapple. I bought a fresh pineapple from Coles (they were on special) and it was not sweet at all.  The Kiwi salsa was very nice.  I will probably try this one again.

I don't think it would be a good idea for me to cook today :(
It's only 7:30am and so far I have dropped a jar of buckwheat, spilled a glass of water and dropped a container of milk :-[

Lots of cleaning up... :-\

 :'( :'( :'(

Knowing my luck I would blow up TM...

Work is going to be interesting though. I think I have some cobwebs in the ceiling to get rid of so I hope I don't drop myself off the ladder :o

I'm not sure why all that vodka was needed. I might stick some vanilla beans in the remainder and when I make this dish next time, use DH dads home made wine instead. We have stacks left over, so will invite a couple of old friends over for scraps and home made pizza. Got leftover cheesecake too. I'll need to find a biscuit recipe I think cos I have to cook something!

Maybe you were supposed to drink the vodka while cooking the dish CP?

I like mine with a little sugar syrup, a lime muddled in shaker with some ice shake and pour into a glass

well I tell you we both laid down on the lounge to watch a movie and bang! we were out to the count in a deep deep sleep. Woke up at midnight TV blaring. It seemed like an extraordinary amount to use. Your drink sounds nice DD
