Cookies sound good Amanda, but the carpet-shampooing doesn't.... has there been an accident? :P

No accident, but I have a 2 year old and a Border Collie in a 2 bedroom apartment. It was getting a little... tired. lol. All done now, it looks pretty good now.

My son actually went through this phase a few months ago where he would help himself to some yoghurt from the fridge, and then plop spoon fills of yoghurt on the floor. He's not normally that naughty, I think it was just an accident at first, but he liked the sound of it or the way it looked so he did it a few more times - once he worked out that mummy got very angry when he did it, he stopped.

Oh the joys of young children!! :D I'm glad you got the carpet looking good ;)
One of my dogs once treated me to a big pile of runny doggy poo on the pink carpet for my birthday... you can probably guess that I wasn't very happy about that >:(

Anyway, I have some fruit loaves in the oven ;D If they turn out any good I will post the recipe. I have been looking for more fruit loaf inspiration since a discussion with Uni on another thread.
I'm also making Quirky Jo's Creamy Chicken and Brown Rice Soup for lunch, a batch of soybean and vegie soup for the freezer, nutty biscuits (will post recipe if any good) and yoghurt :)

Thank you for your lovely thought Judy!  :-*  :-* Hally, the cookies and cream fudge which I made to take to Ayr at Christmas was frozen for a couple of weeks - just vac packed as the whole slice tray - (obviously marked into squares though, but left the baking paper attached!!!)  :)  :)

Happy Birthday to you!

My dog's pretty good, he's had a couple of accidents, but mainly they've been my fault. We live on the third floor, and have no back yard, so I take him for a morning and evening walk minimum each day. There's been a couple of occasions where DS has been sick and has gone to bed early so poor Jake has missed his walk - I can't blame him if he makes a mess then. There's been other times where his sensitive tummy has gotten the better of him. He tries to get my attention before he does anything, he's very well trained and he only ever goes inside as a last resort so he doesn't get into trouble.

Now made Jamie Olivers Apple Crumble
Have silverside in the oven in stock, red wine, onions, garlic & herbs cooking, so can shred later for a lasagna.

Have my nuggets marinating in my buttermilk, seems to work well for me.

Now thinking what to make.........

Shocking weather here

That must be a bit awkward, having a dog and living in a third-floor apartment :-\ We live in a house with a doggy-door and the dogs are constantly going in and out, which gets really annoying when the door starts sqeaking! I can't imagine what would happen if they couldn't get out... probably a lot of mess! You must have done a really good job of training your dog Amanda. He sounds very good :D

Us too Hally :P Good day to have the oven on and TM bubbling away with something yummy ;D

Just about to slice my fruit loaf. Will post photos in a few minutes. Hopefully :-))

We have our moments, but for the most part it's great. I live having him here. He's done so much for me, it's only fair that he be with me. We make it work. He's a very relaxed dog - he's the complete opposite of most border collies, but he's pretty amazing. He's had a lot of training. He has advanced level obedience training, plus he's done a lot of agility training. He was also a therapy dog visiting nursing homes and hospitals. He also knows when I'm getting worked up and has his way of calming me down again. He actually has more friends in the city than I do - we always get stopped so people can pat him, and if I don't have him with me people ask where he is. They know his name, but not mine! Lol

Here's a couple of photos. The first one is on Christmas Day, he has a bow around his neck. The second one always makes me laugh - the next door neighbor was mowing, and Jake liked to see what was going on. He thinks he's a cat!

Oh wow, Amanda! He's absolutely gorgeous :D And it sounds like he has had many achievements too. What a clever dog ;)

Here are some photos of my fruit loaf. Not as cute as Amanda's doggy, but still nice to look at I think :D

Have just taken some jam drops out of the oven.  I don't know what I did wrong but I certainly couldn't roll them into little balls as the mixture was so soft.  Just put spoonfuls on the tray with a dob of jam on top.  They did spread quite a bit so they are rather large.  They taste good tho so I figure looks don't matter.  Grand kids will love them anyway. :)

Just an after thought, my butter was at room temp and not straight from the fridge, I wonder if this was the reason.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.
