Amy are you paying  attention? Mcmich said the magic words "just in case".

I never have prepared meals in the freezer. My emergency is KFC

Gert
And there you have it . Don't need a freezer full of food...pull into your nearest take away.
And there is always the can of spam. (now taking up residence in my pantry) Thankyou DH

Gert, that freezer looks great.  I have never seen a freezer look like this.  I must admit I am on the move, I emptied one freezer late last year.  I still have a very large bench one that I am working on.  This is the one that I am trying to empty.  I will still have 2 upright ones,  but that will be Ok.  You could make ice blocks to fill your empty one, or you could turn it off and save power.  I made mixed berry jam this week,  all frozen berries from our garden.  I don't freeze meals,  and if I want KFC,  I make it.  Not as greasy.  I will bring you some pre packed mix,  to WA. ;D

I've just had a good laugh reading this thread. I wish my freezer looked like Gert's. I'd settle for just one empty drawer in mine.
Amy, it's a pity it's dark outside or I'd look for another caterpillar for you. ;)

Good thinking Judy. Maybe I WILL go shopping tomorrow. I am doing so well with my shopping I am almost afraid to spend any money. I have spent only $36.88 this week.

Am I becoming obsessed?

Gert

I've got tunnel vision when it comes to the pantry and freezer now too.

Gert you have really done a terrific job. My freezers are full at the moment. Should keep us going for a log time before we see the bottom

Almost stopped at the corner to take a photo of some road kill I was really tempted to load into the back of the car  but I .thought it would really fill the freezer so left  it for neighbours.
