She got some once when she was staying at the in-laws, and has been asking ever since, I refuse to buy her biscuits, so finally made her some (which I thought I had hidden well, but have just found her eating them.... :-)) )

Nice to hear from you rosie.

Wow home schooling, what made you decide to take that up, lots of work for you.

H :)

Thanks everyone.  I have really missed spending time on here and reading what every one is doing.  And seeing all the yummy food you are all making.  WOW.   so many new things to try out and I have only had time to browse.
I am thankful I have TC and a NewWave 5 in 1 in the kitchen so I can grab a bit of time today.
We also bought a DeLonghi Automatic coffee machine to keep me going.   :D

We are homeschooling Che as he was not fitting in at regular school, and even with help from the Special school was getting further and further behind.  Che has Asperger's Syndrome,  Oppositional Defiant disorder and ADHD.   Not a good fit in a classroom.

We enrolled with the Brisbane School of Distance Education and so far it has been wonderful.  He has 3 online lessons with a one-on-one teacher each week. And the other lessons are all sent to me,  Beautifully presented and broken down into daily tasks and ready to go.   It is hard work as I am not a teacher and it took a lot of work to get him settled into a routine but now he is going ahead in leaps and bounds.   We wish we had done it sooner, but it took a big push by our GP and his Psychologist who basically said he was suffering extreme anxiety and depression and we had to get him out of the school.  He is a different boy now.

That is so nice to hear Rosie, he is a lucky boy to have such caring grandparents as you.  Very best wishes to all of you.

Wow Rosie, it sure does sound like a lot of hard work for you. But it must be paying off if he has changed that much for the better :D It must be very rewarding for you to see him making such big achievements :)
Love from me :-*

I got motivated to do some cooking today.

I've got orange and chocolate refrigerator biscuits firming up in the fridge so I can cook them tomorrow after I pick my niece and nephew up from school

I didn't have any oranges but had a tree full of small mandarins, too small to eat, but I can still use the peel.  So technically I've made mandarins and chocolate bikkies

Then I cleaned out the sad looking vegie draw in the fridge and made curried vegie fritters http://retromummy.com/2011/06/21/curry-vegetable-fritters/. Hope it's ok to post the link

Used zucchini, baby eggplant, spring onion, cauliflower, capsicum carrot & corn.

These are mine ready to reheat in the oven for tea tonight with a salad and left over chicken tikka masala
I do the best I can
