That lasagne looks great Mich! :D

Never mind chookie you had the best intentions that's what counts. When I was a newlywed I kept the salt beside the sugar. Many a guest I insulted (pardon the pun) by making coffee with salt instead of sugar ;D

LOL ;D My nana keeps her salt next to the jars of tea, coffee and milo. I remember when I was old enough to make myself drinks, I put the salt in my milo :( I never made that mistake again ;)

Very clever mcmich, I've never seen a moulded lasagne before. Glad DW enjoyed the chicken DD, you'll have to put a big tick next to the recipe to remind yourself it was a winner

WOW, that lasagne is beautiful.  I made ordinary lasagne last night, and it looked a bit of a mess, to be honest!  Oh well, might have gotten a little firmer with standing, but we were too hungry, and it still tasted good...

Just made EDC playdough for DD - does that count as cooking?  :D She's pretty happy anyway.

We've got DS's miniball game after school tonight, so in need of a quick dinner afterwards, and I just happened to open to Pasta with Tuna, which I think I will make, but with Salmon, as that's what we have.  Perhaps not a gourmet meal, but that kind of thing is generally a big hit with the kids. :)

I'm liking that the meals as per the cookbook seem to be slightly too large for our family - today DH took leftovers of the lasagne, and DD & I had leftover curry.  Although I of course wouldn't have minded having to whip up something else! ;)

I love it when we get just enough left over for DH's lunch, and he loves it too! He took the last of the beef 'risotto' with a potato salad today.  :)
Pasta dishes are a fave with my kids too, must be a kid thing...?  ;)

Uni, I melted down my Apple & Raspberry Paste as well.  For me it was not to change it's stickiness (I could live with that) but I decided I wanted to present it differently for christmas hampers.  It is now in little plastic containers.  I haven't tried any of the re-packaged paste yet but do have one set aside for me to try at some point.  For quality control purposes of course!
