Kimmy, the worst thing is burning yourself on melted chocolate chips. They just stick to your tongue :-))

The worst thing I have ever burnt my tongue on was making apple tart tatin. Cooking the "toffee" for the apples to go in, I thought I had burnt so silly me decided to taste it...... My tongue actually sizzled  :o  DH was also in the kitchen and he even heard it sizzle. Ouch!!! ;D

It certainly did feel strange and sore! It was sooo funny at the time though as it was such a silly/mindless/stupid "why on earth did I do that" moment and then hearing the actual sizzle....... DH and I cracked up!  ;D ;D ;D

Oh dear me Katie.... :-)) I would not be able to laugh in such a situation, it sounds much too painful! ;)

If you're a bit slow like me, you often stick the burnt finger in your mouth which still has the hot food on it... ;D
