Honey oat beer bread. It is a variation on Chookies cheese and herb beer bread.
It is a bit pale, probably because I baked it in the electric bbq and it was a guess at the temp.

DH said it tasted good. He thought it would go well with the soup I'm making. I know it isn't soup weather but in some moment of madness I said I would go camping and bought a dream pot. As I didn't go thought I should justify the purchase and make some soup tonight for the freezer.  :)

Sometimes the bread flavour comes out more when toasted too. What is a dream pot?

Thanks all  :)
I like using bread bowls as its less dishes I end up losing!
I make with Chookies no fuss recipe, and pop into 2 scalloped pudding tins, as it gives a nice shape to the outside...I make the day before, scoop out inside and spray with oil, and toast up until brown & crisp.
yes, keep inside bread for crumbs in freezer.

The canape moulds were  from Amazon

Impressive as always Maddy.

You've jolted my memory, I bought those canapé tins last year as well, but haven't used them as yet.

I need to make some things for tomorrow night to share with friends, these little toasts and the smoked chicken pâté would be perfect.

Drove home from Melbourne today - empty fridge, so some emergency cooking happening.  I had heated up a batch of milk to make yoghurt overnight, and it was sitting on the bench to cool.  Started making some oven baked wedges to go with frozen fish for dinner, and turned around to find DS 3 years old shaking the chicken salt into my yoghurt mix  :o :o :o

Any suggestions for how to salvage 1 litre of milk with about 2 tablespoons of chicken salt in it???

Oops Karen  :-))
It will be interesting to see if it will still work out and you get yoghurt.

Maybe add it to a curry, chicken in yoghurt, anything savoury.
