My two girls ask for pikelets most mornings for breakfast these days, and they are so quick and easy.  I do them a little different each day to keep them guessing.  Today there was added banana and homemade protein powder.  Yesterday it was homemade milo.  Other days grated apple and rolled oats.  Some days half wholemeal flour.

Also made swirly bacon scrolls for lunch boxes for the week, Rice and Almond cake has almost finished cooking.  Yesterday it was Nikki's Healthy Cookies and Ricotta and Corn Fritters.

Weekends are a big cookup, most of which goes in the freezer.  Then there is plenty of variety to be defrosted overnight, ready for lunchboxes.

I've made some 5 seed bread, Isi's normal bread as rolls and Chookie's muesli. I can hardly wait until breakfast to try it. (I probably won't)

Yesterday I made Galzed Kiwi and Lime tart but substituted strawberries rather than kiwi, a hit with the family.  Today is salads for bbq so I made broccoli, celery and apple salad and beetroot salad, also did potato fritters for lunch.  Rainbow

Made some lemon butter this morning, then some friends called to say they were coming over, so knocked out some shortbread (both recipes from EDC).

Then for dinner we made pizzas (using meganjane's fabulous pizza sauce and EDC pizza dough).   They were soooo good.  I won't ever be buying pizza bases again!

Since the TMX was cleaned out while the pizzas were in the oven, I thought I'd make some chocolate custard for dessert.

It was all amazing!  Lots of "I can't believe I made that" moments for me today.

Made lemon and orange peel ,(getting ready for Easter and the buns).   Then made Chick Pea soup with spinach from TMX site.   Then $250 cookies,  and mixed dough for an oat sour dough  loaf to prove at room temp. over night.   Not much going on as I was trying to clean up my files.

Had fun in my kitchen today.  Made Cookies Tuna & Macaroni Bake, Ems' Burnt Butter biscuits, MJ's pizza sauce for the freezer (will review that once I have tried it), some junket flavoured with Chookie's coffee syrup and did a batch of my evaporated milk ice-cream testing a different theory.

I've made more of Isi's rolls today.
Chookie I had your muesli for breakfast this morning. I soaked it over night. It certainly doesn't need sweetening and I like it very much. Thanks for the recipe. The TMX certainly makes chopping the fruit easy. I also blitzed the nuts as my teeth have a nasty tendency to break when they encounter hard things. (have a mouthful of crowns $$$$$$$)

Very little cooking today as we went to Melbourne .  Came home with 2 new cooking books ;D ;D,  bought with Birthday vouchers.   Both on soups,'One is called 'Love Soup'  by Anna Thomas  and the other is 'The best soups in the world'  by Clifford A. Wright.    I thought all the wonderful recipes on the Forum would slow down my recipe book buying habit,  but now I look at the books and say to my self, 'how would that convert'?   DH says,  with a grin, I have Thermomania.

ROFL!  Chookie I used to think the same, but now I'm hopeless with those cheap books that come around work - thinking exactly the same as you "oh that would be great converted..."  :-)) :-)) ;D

We had a long discussion at lunch today as to whether I would take the TMX away with me this time as it is only for a week. We decided that I would miss it too much if I didn't, so I packed it up in the bag and put it in the van. The kitchen looks so empty in that little corner.  :'(
