You poor thing Jamberie, bet you feel as much like having visitors as jumping over the moon.  Let's hope there are plenty of helpers tonight.  Happy birthday to your DH.

Decided to make the nougat but forgot to whisk the egg white first and forgot to put the butterfly to whisk the honey. My nougat was hardened honey. It was only when I started reading Farfallina's recipe, I realised my two major mistakes'! Must be one of those days!

I made potato salad, beetroot salad( thermomixers one, will give feedback when I try it- looks really pretty) red cabbage and ginger By Chookie .  Beetroot cashew and Parmesan dip ( cookie) capsicum sun dried tomato dip, cookies and cream fudge, swedish icecream cheesecake ( Chookie) and that yummy vanilla slice, no cream. A couple more salads to prepare tomorrow but am stuffed ATM.

Remember when I picked all those Blackberries in summer? I made Bramble Jelly with the majority of the berries but with others I put them into a jar and poured a bottle of vodka over the fruits.Today I decanted the strained liqueur into bottles. One is for my SIL for a little Christmas present, the others will be given next year to friends for presents.

Great cooking everyone. I've been working lots and was away for the weekend so haven't had much time for cooking. I did finally make a batch of Cookies & Cream fudge and Christmas Rocky Road last night but really need to make a plan of attack for the weekend, as I need to make some gifts and also get otganised for three 'functions' here over Christmas.

Just duck and chicken cottage pie and soup of some sort.
CC,  what ratio berries to Vodka?.  Looks great. Still got some Cumquats in Brandy.  Nice over ice cream.

I'm afraid I didn't weigh them Chookie.I just did it by eye and made sure the vodka covered the fruits. It tastes good ;D

Chookie, use this recipe as a guide of fruit ratio to vodka. Perhaps we should have bumped this one for Christmas - 2 gifts from 1 recipe.

I have some bread rising at the moment  I want to make a few bits and pieces as we are having friends round for morning tea on Sunday, but it is too hot.

Chookie you have so much energy, all that cooking. CC your vodka looks very, very nice. Bedlam I hope all goes well for the Christmas do.
