What a great idea Dot, I've never seen a tin like that before.  It works well to centre the fruit .

What a fantastic tin DD. I've made a rich chocolate cake for DD to take to work tomorrow I will ice it with Nutella and put small Easter eggs on it.

CP I understand how you feel about the nitrates; there is a butcher at the Greenwood shops who does ham the old way so I think his bacon would be the same; no nasties. I will find out next time I go (after Easter). We love pea and ham soup in the winter.

I don't like nitrates either. I think it is used to make the ham and bacon pink.
The Marshmellows that GD and I made didn't set.  So dissolved a bit more gelatin and re whipped it all. Now we have buckets of pink Marshmellows.

Thank you.
Chookie you will be able to have toasted marshmallows, although I guess it may be a bit too cold.
I made some fruit biscuits that were in today's paper. They are supposed to have crosses piped on them in chocolate. They are a bit dry so won't be getting chocolate.
