Awesome jelly Chookie. Full marks for clarity. So much of it too.

Nice cooking astarra, I also love your swiss roll - it's perfect.  What recipe do you use for it please?

I do love making roulades, I find them an achievable challenge - if that makes any sense!!
I used this recipe mainly, a few tweaks but basically  ;) https://thermomg.squarespace.com/thermomg-recipes/2013/6/19/vanilla-swiss-roll I stupidly didn't write the changes down. Hope I can remember them next time  ??? Obviously I didn't do the sugar on the outside or the cream in the center tho.
Girls love it in their lunch boxes as a treat.  :)
I would add more jam next time tho.  :D

oh, and just quietly, it did have a slight crack at one end - I just didn't put that bit in the photo  ;) :-[

Thanks astarra, will have to give it a go at some stage.  It would be nice to have home made swiss roll in a trifle.

I had some home made butter in the fridge that needed using up. I made Tenina's Cranberry and Pistachio Shortbread with a few differences. http://tenina.com/recipes/craisin-pistachio-shortbread

I left out the cranberries and added the zest from an orange and a 1/4 teaspoon of orange oil. Then instead of the pistachios I added toasted macadamias. It tastes lovely. Next I will try toasted almonds and Choc chips.

We are being over run with tomatoes at the moment so I cooked up a couple of saucepan fulls this morning and they are now in the freezer.
