Astarra, love to see what you are cooking. Your girls are very lucky.
Cookie, that is a nice loaf.  Love it when members use my recipes and they morph into something else.

Look great Judy.
I always use this recipe for bread sticks.  Usually use them for Garlic Bread.

Really busy day yesterday.  I made enchiladas - sounds easy, but I had to make a lime-coriander-avocado sauce, enchilada sauce and vegan sour cream to go with the enchilada mix.  Also stumbled across an old favourite recipe for mushroom stroganoff which I HAD to make (also used up some of the sour cream I had already made in the mix) and finally, a big pot of chilli.  I ended up with masses of food so that should see us pretty well set for the week's meals now.

CC, did the pork crackle?
Marina, all sounds yummy.
I baked a grain loaf in the 3 litre SC.  it sank a bit in the middle but tasted ok. Used Full No Fuss recipe , double rise, 2 hours on high. Had to weigh the lid down as it was pushing it off.

DS sent home a bag of apples so stewed them up.  Then cooked up another pot of tomatoes. All in the freezer now.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Two stupid questions I may say :D

First, what does everyone use to cut homemade bread, I have stopped making bread as I am dreading the slicing...
I have ended up with such poor slices, it is just embarrassing,  I use my bread knife but reallll bad at it...
Can anyone suggest a good way to slice? I have seen good reviews for the thermomix bread knife but just not sure if I really have to go that far..

And also, any suggestions of using heaps of basil (we planted two plants in our veggie patch and it is growing wilddd), I have seen a good recipe for Basil pesto on here, planning to make that.. If there is anything else which is vegetarian, please suggest :)

You can freeze the pesto but leave the cheese out and add later.
I will try and post a salad dressing that I saw this morning that has basil in it.
