I made this Sandwich Bread yesterday. It has only one rise, and that is in the tin. We liked the taste of it.

Looks really nice Cookie, can it be done with wholemeal flour?
I keep thinking of substituting plain with wholemeal but I am not too comfortable so just follow the recipe as it is...
Any suggestions on how much liquid may be needed if I replace plain with wholemeal?

Your bread looks good Cookie.

I have only made some soup for lunch.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Thermilover, wholemeal flour always needs a bit extra water. How much depends on several factors.  How old the flour is,( old needs more ), humidity, more humid, needs less. How fine the wholemeal is ground.
Would be best to make the loaf as per recipe and note the texture of the dough, then make it with wholemeal.
Hope this helps.

Nice to use up what you have , CC.
Today I am processing a bucket and a half of mushrooms. Mushrooms on toast for breakfast. I saw a 1/2 jug of Awesome cheese Sauce in fridge, so added some to the cooked Mushies. This is very nice so making containers for freezer and not wasting the cheese sauce.
I am drying 4 trays I'd sliced at the moment and some thick slices to dip in Parmesan and bread crumbs later when rehydrated. ( recipe posted). Dehydrated, they should keep for 12 months.
The Swiss brown Mushies are more 'meaty" than the white caps.

Well yesterday I made they meatballs in tomato sauce , yum steamed potato and green veg . Then made the strawberry mouse for dessert , put into glasses that were free a few months ago when you brought Philly cream cheese at WW supermarket . Both off the basic chip . This morning minestrone soup , must remember not to chop up the veggies when using the chip , much nicer a bit chunky . No cereal left yeah . So Tenina's wild oat maple muesli huge container that will be devoured by DDAnd DS this weekend with yogurt . Off to make Lemon and Coconut Dahl for dinner .

Judy the bread toasted beautifully. Thermilover I plan to experiment with different flours and seeds as I go.
The only thing I have made lately is a slightly different Minestrone. I will post the recipe. We had it with some Olive and rosemary bread I made a while ago using the No Fuss Recipe.

Made some soup out of bits, 1/2 jar of pasta sauce, bit of Cauli, 1 leek, bit of garlic, water from steamed veggies and a few Mushies. Cooked together, zapped for 1 minute and added last of Awesome Cheese sauce. Served with garlic croutons made from stale bread.
baked a loaf of over night SD.
Have been processing mushrooms all day. Nearly there. Gee they shrink when dehydrated. Great.
