Early prep for tonight's tea, steamed some meatballs then browned them in oil/butter for some added flavour. Will keep enough out for tonight's tea and freeze the rest.  Will make the sauce tonight for what I'm having today.

Boo hoo. I've left my starter at home.

Cold weather cooking is so much more interesting than hot weather food, love hearing what everyone is doing.

Does heating up baked beans and making the toast count as cooking? DH did the bacon and eggs to put on the top. It's our special 'going home tomorrow ' meal.

Like Judy, I find winter cooking much more interesting. Even baked beans on toast.
All sounds good.

I love baked beans on toast, don't have them as much as I'd like though as there's too much food in the freezer to get through.

I'd happily eat them every evening.

Me too.
Made a 1 minute loaf to prove over night. Will bake this morning.
Had Cappuccino Butter on Apricot fruit toast , when in Melbourne. Will try to make some today in TMX.
Cottage pie with leftover lamb.

That looks lovely Chookie. I have your No Fuss recipe rising at the moment. I've made a couple of slight flour and seed changes. The bread supply is very low.
