Marina, I had to smile at your cooking results. Keep trying.  :)
I have developed a sensitivity to onion and some artificial sweeteners. Bit of a challenge. Using lots of fresh herbs and Stevia seems ok. Small amount of garlic may be ok.

Oh no, I couldn't survive without onions and garlic.  Have you tried asafoetida (I think that is how you spell it)?  It is used by [I think] hindus in their cooking as they do not eat the allium family.

Happy 30th Anniversary Judy.

Cuilidh, we all have days when nothing works, next time will be better.

So far I have made Roast Pumpkin Soup and Tuna Pasta Bake.  Still need to make some biscuits.

Thanks Marina. Haven't used it yet but do have some. Finding the herbs and white pepper ok so far.
Love onions, can use the green tops.

Your lunch looks lovely Chookie. Pity about the onions, must be horrid.
Marina I had a chuckle with your cooking list. I find if I have one flop in a day, everything else is just as bad. It's usually a day when I want to do lots too.

Due to the lack of cooking around here, that  would probably happen to me these days if I tried to do too many things Marina.

Thanks for the good wishes girls, he ate his tuna mornay - yay!

CC, I can have a little leek. Same with garlic.cant have onion powder.
Couldn't imagine Chicken soup without onion but the addition of Rosemary , Sage and Thyme was very nice and didn't miss the onion.
Today cooking Teriyaki chicken from RecipeTinEats mum's recipe. Also the Kale is growing well so will be looking for an interesting recipe.
Trying new recipe for cooking Fennel. This is also growing well.
Made Adam Laiw's Rosti with Celeriac and potato. Instead of grating potato and Celeriac I chopped it in TMX for a couple of seconds. Celeriac also from garden. Very nice.

The bread looks delicious Chookie. I'm not a real Fennel fan I'm afraid.

Chookie I had a thought whilst walking this morning. Indian cooking uses Asafoetida in place of onion sometimes.

Thanks CC, Marina also mentioned it.
The Fennel was not as nice as I had hoped. The crisp bits were crunchy and good but the un crisped bit not so good.
