Made spaghetti with watercress and lemon pesto, with sea bass steamed above.
As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!

Not cooking anything today,  we are at the Nut Festival,  in NE Victoria.  :) No wise cracks about who is nus,  thank you. :)

I hope you like Jo's lentil bolognaise JD, it is one of our favourite non-meat meals.  It makes oodles so after one meal I usually freeze the leftovers in ziplocks and grab them out to have with pasta as a quick tea or with jacket potatoes and grated cheese for a tasty lunch.  :)
It was your comment that inspired me to make this dish Chelsea, I find if you liked something then I probably will too. Certainly made heaps so I will try a bit tomorrow and see what I think of it.  Looks good, is cheap & easy to make too. Guess the real test will come from DD on Friday night so I will leave my review until then.

Well the taste test has happened and DD enjoyed it immensely but the funniest reaction was from DH who was eating away and saying nothing.  I asked him if he was enjoying it, yes he was, and asked what sort of meat he thought was in it and he commented, some sort of minced meat. When I told him it was lentils, not meat he said he 'thought something was missing from the taste' but conceded it was pretty good for a non-meat dish.    Nice recipe Jo, something different that's for sure. Have 2 packs in the freezer for another day.

200g watercress (or rocket, or spinach, I guess)
50 g parmesan
50g almonds
juice 1 lemon
3 tbsp olive oil

Blitz together

Made two soups for the freezer, Pumpkin and Parsnip and Carrot and Coriander, Lentil Bolognese again for the freezer now making Isi's bread and plan lemon impossible pie for tonight.

Maddy, I usually do things like that and end up sitting up until some ungodly hour waiting for something to cook.  :-))
How wonderful Chookie, a Nut Festival. Sounds like lots of fun, hope you managed to get hold of lots of cheap nuts.

I've whizzed up a raw vegie puree to mix with raw mince for Rambo, the Wonder Dog. He wasn't terribly impressed. I made the mistake of putting cauliflower in it and it smelt quite 'sulphurous'.
Also made a wholemeal spelt and white wheat flour bread, Satay Sauce and then cooked the noodles in the  *: after cooking the sauce, no washing in between.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

I thought I could sneak in a batch of yoghurt before leaving for work the other day and ran out of time, so only cooked with the yoghurt added on 37 degrees for 2.5 minutes instead of 20 and it turned out to be the best batch yet!

Today:

Yoghurt
Pizza dough for lunch box mini pizzas
EDC chocolate cake
Salted caramel and maple syrup ice cream
Naan bread with onion and cumin (Indian cookbook)
Rice

Made butter chicken in the slow cooker this is the most delicious recipe and I urge anyone who is a fan of butter chicken to try it!
