No cooking here.

Ha.  Every now and again I need a reality check.  We are fortunate in that we have  4 very good SD commercial bakeries near us. So sometimes I buy a SD loaf.  However when I want crap white bread, I buy Bakers Delight Hi Fibre.    We had a visitor for lunch and it was hot.  Ham, fresh pineapple and French mustard sandwiches were requested.  Fruit platter to follow.
Surprised that it contains a lot of sugar.  Can tell how quickly it browns in the toaster.

A reality check can be just that. Fortunately when we only go away for 4 nights we can take enough bread for us in the van freezer. DH likes wraps. I make Jamberie’s pizza dough, break it into 55g lots and flatten it a little. Then DH rolls it out and cooks it at breakfast time. I’m trying to find him a roti maker from Aldi. That will make it a lot easier for him when we are travelling.

K ATIE, I love watercress.  Experience to buy so I usually use land cress which is easy to grow.
Chooks did well out of freezer.
Today I have cooked corned beef in SC, raspberry and plum jam in TMX, steamed potatoes for chips, steamed eggs in TMX and steamed Asparagus.

They’re great Margaret, what a lovely Grandma you are.  She will bring a smile to patients faces wearing those, you might be inundated with orders from her workmates.

What brilliant scrub tops Mab. I showed them to DD and she said a lot of people at work are wearing them. They have a uniform but many are changing to scrub tops.
Your GD will love them and so will the people she cares for.

Mab, you are amazing.  Lucky GD. She will think of you every time she pops one on.
Not many in my family eat Xmas Pud so I am going to make single serves . I will steam them in the Varoma. Most of my friends love it but don’t bother.  I will use my recipe that has grated carrot.
I pretend it is healthy.
I might play around with the light and soft Brioche recipe and see if it produces a nice fruit bun.

This is a photo of the Xmas Pud recipe, made by someone back in 2009. It was posed on my blog by Thermomixer

Nice pud Chookie  :D

Mab love the tops, so bright and cheerful  :D

I've made a Malaysian coconut chicken marinade (cookidoo) and have butterflied a chicken which is now marinating in it, supposedly overnight.  Not sure whether I'll cook it on the grill later or leave for tomorrow, will see.  :D
