As we eat spag bol once a week,

its a good recipe and has superseded our family favourite (which was lovely but not as easy as this one). Love making the shepherds pie using this recipe as well.

Fabulous hour or so in the kitchen this afternoon - knocked up some chocolate chip scones, some toffee sauce, some shortcrust pastry which I shall make into mince pies after the school run, just going to start some bread off then do macaroni cheese for tea!

Had to call the decorators back as they'd bodged some bits up but they've finally gone and we can get back to some normality (please, please some normality!)

It's a friends Birthday tomorrow -what do you buy for men ???  ???- so I thought I would make a few items in the Thermonix.I had already made for him the Fig Mustard from the Demonstrators Delight Book which needed 6-8 weeks to mature.So this afternoon I made a double batch of Isi's Roasted Almonds -Extra Crispy, to decant into a large glass jar and a batch of Odette's Onions from Helene's blog Super Kitchen Machine.The friend is a real foodie so I hope he enjoys my efforts. ;D  I have decided to finish with Cacciatore Chicken Risotto for our supper.I must say that I really appreciated having two bowls this afternoon.

The kids made their own Teacher's pressies this year. DD made Lara Bars and a giant chocolate cake and DS made tomato sauce, shortbread, harissa paste and vegetarian chicken style seasoning. All Done!!  8)

I made some more Christmas shortbread, love this, and some Chocolate Hazelnut Kisses. The latter I put a dob of red icing and of green icing to make them Christmasssy.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

I am making the mango ice-cream Weiss bars, a batch of ILB's ginger bread decorations, a gluten free loaf for a demo tonight, and later on will be doing mayo, veggie stock, roast for dinner (obviously in the oven)  I am sure there is more on the list but can't remember what at the moment  :-))

I started jotting down all the things I used the TMX for in our diary. The list began taking up too much room and no ones engagements could fit in. DH told me he knows I use it all the time I don't have to write it down. :P

I'm having a great time making spicy gf gingerbread men this avvie!  ;D  Only problem is my oven's not working, so the kids are running up and down the street with trays of gingerbread men to pop in Grandma's oven!  :D  It's so funny, the neighbourhood boys are following them, sniffing, and begging for bits!!

Ooooh, the first batch has just arrived home... see ya!

Given it is the first day of the working week and I am on hols, thermie got a workout - starting with pavlova (just to see of it would work), followed by the third batch of cookies and cream fudge and then Tenina's nutty fudge (very healthy up to this point don't you agree).  Pikelets were on the morning tea agenda and for dinner I have done JD s Tuna and Rice Pie - smells wonderful!!!!!!

Well today (when I finally get moving ....) I'm having a soup day, making chicken and sweetcorn, carrot and coriander and corguette and something.

I'm also making cheese scones - scones are very popular in this house at the moment (just as well they're so easy in the TMX)

Haven't figured out what's for tea yet ...

These look lovely Cookie.  I will have to dig out the recipe and make them again this Christmas.  Yum!

Johnro, I made the tuna and rice pie also.. Tasted amazing. The kids loved all of the crusty bits on top and the whole thing almost went tonight. Oh well, a tiny bit leftover for lunch tomorrow.

I've also made corguette and oregano soup, snickerdoodles and MM's fabulous rabbit stew!

Completely fat and full up now - Thelma really has been working hard today.

ANOTHER batch of KFC powder.   I multiply the recipe by 8 and then put the appropriate amounts in small plastic containers,  marked 1 and2,  including instructions,  all in a plastic zip bag.  I think it is the novelty factor that everyone likes.  Fruit cake a bit sticky so making chocolate covered balls from it,  to look like xmas puds.
