Dare I reveal the very unhealthy but so yummy biscuits now in the oven - wait for it.................Potato chip cookies. I have always made these in the KA believing there was too much mixture for our kitchen wonder, but today thermie stood tall and I made 70 biscuits from the mixture something never before achieved - normally makes 60 biscuits!!!!!!!

Hally I need to clarify my above sarcasm - I actually don't eat them (really can't fit it in to WW propopints!!!!!) I give them to friends and/or send them to work with DH, his staff think all their Christmases are here each school hol time!!!!!

Thermomixer - speaking of dukkah. I made the recipe as is in the EDC which is fantastic anyway, but used it sometime ago to coat pork fillets, baked in the oven for 20mins. Talk about heaven. I wondered if the nuts in the dukkah may have burnt, but no - all good. Served that up with some salad and couscous (of course made with stock concentrate) and wow, what a meal. Think that is what I will do again tonight - yum.

Today I finally made sourdough bread! A lovely friend came over to give me some pointers and some of her rye starter. I used combination of rye and spelt flour and they turned out beautifully. I used a larger amount of spelt to rye. So yummy. Now all I have to do is keep the starter alive
Also made lemon butterfly cakes with the lemon butter I made yesterday.

I was up at 6am this morning to start cooking for DS birthday party. It's now 9pm and im still going, just got sausage rolls in the oven. I'm totally buggered. I've made the birthday cake + a cake for school/work, whole orange muffins, double batch of lamingtons ( some for school and home) some choc chip cookies, cinnamon scrolls, dip x 2, and tiny Teddy cars. Also helped the plasterer in between. Glad to go to bed tonight.
