Poor Russell - forum goes down on the day you want to tell everyone - certainly have been busy.

The Yahoo group was set up by brazen and me - there is a link on my blog just under the Banner http://thermomix-er.blogspot.com/

Those who have joined up would have recieved some warning.  Not sure what else to do - ? pay the bills on time  ;D ;D

Poor Russell! I was having withdrawal symptoms, but you must have been really feeling the loss of the forum!
At least you had more time to cook!

Heh, yep :) Oh and I forgot the pikelets we had for breakfast yesterday, so that's  abkers dozen recipes :)

Regarding the Yahoo groups, the interface for using them is really rather bad. I'm so glad there's a proper forum setup here. I'm on several Yahoo groups that have no otehr avenue for discussion, and it's the pits trying to navigate messages, so I would only use it if there were no alternatives, which for now there is, luckily :)

Russell.

a tip for next time (though MM assures me they are buying the domain name for 10 years this time lol) if you need a recipe, google and look at the cache - if the cache doesn't work (as it didn't this time, though as far as i know cache is cache not current  ??? :-))) click on the 'text only' link and the recipe page should come up :)

As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!

I also hate the way Yahoo groups are set up.

As mentioned in another post, I copy all the recipes into a word doc and then save to my recipes folder on my computer. Saves having to go online for a recipe, not that this stops me!
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

The Yahoo group was sooo difficult to navigate, but was useful for disseminating some info.

I was going to close it down - lucky I didn't.

I save all recipes in which I am interested into files on my computer.  I have a large hard drive so have plenty of room and I like to have them handy in case i am not able to get online.
There have been times when the high speed cable goes blooey and my wireless is quite a bit slower (not yet 3G) and I am an impatient critter.

Speaking of critters, I have changed my avatar to a basenji puppy, bred by my best friend, that has a particularly cute face.  Of course I am prejudiced but I think there is nothing cuter than a basenji puppy with the wrinkled forehead and those almond eyes.

Looks VERY cute Andiiesenji. Had a Basenji pup in at work yesterday. Very cute as well & ohhh so playful. He had all the staff fussing over him and was a real time waster.

My cat's beginning to freak out here with all these dogs  hanging around.... she's not into dogs at all (or other cats for that matter!)
