Judy,  1 1/2 times.....750g flour
                              450 water
                              3 teaspoons yeast
Knead 5 mins,  prove in large dish, covered with Glad , 45/60 mins
Form into loaf,  rise in tin,  probably 30/40 mins
bake at 200/220o C for 30 mins in tin , remove from tin and bake 15 mins on shelf in oven.

If you can wait till Wednesday i will try it as i am not sure if the TMX can cope with this amount.  I think that there is a discussion on the Forum somewhere about TMX capacity.

Thanks Chookie.  I can wait, I've just made a loaf today so that will last us for a few days and I have reserves in the freezer.

OMG, CC thic looks beautiful.   How much oatmeal have you got in it.?
Chookie I only had 400g of strong white flour so I added 120g of Oatmeal White bread flour. It says on the Oatmeal packet it contains Wheat Flour,10% Flaked Oats,10% Oat Bran,10% Pinhead Oatmeal, so I can't say how much I really used ??? 36g??Tasted good though  ;D This is the bread flour I used.

Hi, can someone help with a question? If you want to have fresh from the oven rolls but don't have time to do the whole receipe, can you do to a certain stage then put in fridge/freezer and bake later? E.g I am out from 3 to 6 today but want hot rolls with dinner so can I prepare to stage 2, put in fridge before I go out then put them in the oven when I get back?

yes you can, but you need to bring the dough back to room temp or a least 1 hour b4  baking

thats what i do if i want fresh hot rolls early in the morning (leave in fridge to do 2nd rise from the night b4 )

I would spray them with
water so that they don't form a crust,  which will stop them rising.

Made a batch of this dough when DD rang to say they would be 'down in an hour'.  I knew they had not long had breakfast so thought I'd make a batch of cheeseymites as a snack for them.  I've never made them before, had the first rise out of the way before they arrived and the dough rolled out to a rectangle so that the grand-children could help me spread the vegemite and cheese.  Used dental floss for cutting through as per a hint on the forum (Faffa using cotton) and boy did they go down a treat.  Everyone had a hand in making them - it was a nice experience and I'm surprised there is still 1 left.

Judy, you have really moved along with your bread making.  You are even getting the timing right.  With the bread demo, last  Thursday, one group made pizza scrolls.  you should have heard the OOs and ARRs.   The kids just love eating what they make/cook.  good on you Gran.

Would you believe DD2 has never made bread in her TMX Chookie - she now has ideas of making these for GD's lunchbox.  I did notice that GD likes the tops and not the bottoms (she had about 4 tops) so in the end I was cutting the top thicker and thicker. Grandma is smarter than GD - at the moment anyway  :P :P

I have never made cheesymite scrolls. I have seen Kathryn's children enjoy them though. I wonder if the 'car club' boys would enjoy mini ones? Might have to try it.

Cookie,  the Car Club "boys" might like them with cheese and ham in them.   Not everyone likes vegemite. I do. ;D ;D ;D ;D
