If ever I get given some crabs, I love fresh crab sandwiches or a crab cocktail consumerate.  If I had heaps of it, I would make crab cakes, crab & sweetcorn soup but sadly I never have enough.

I picked about 250 grams of blue swimmer crab meat yesterday (from 3 crabs) and am looking for ideas. May very well just end up as simple crab and avocado wrapped with a slice of crustless bread!

I absolutely love blue swimmers and you've just reminded me of a beautiful fresh pasta I make with them.

When a had a boat  on Pittwater we used to catch them all the time. Nice as is but nice with  a light  pasta dish. Angle hair pasta Into a salad  maybe.

Yes that's how I eat them Gert. I actually prefer blue swimmers to mud crabs.

Made into sandwiches with avocado, mayonnaise and some http://firehorsehotsauce.com.au/sauces.html

Thank you all for advice. Pasta next time I have the patience to pick crabs :)

Ps. That chilli sauce is pretty amazing. I highly recommend it as a local alternative to tobasco.

Made Alvin's green curry. Didn't use skippy though. Just good old chicken thighs.

That curry looks delicious.  :D
I'm still working my way through my freezer. I did defrost it yesterday, but I'm not buying any more meat until I've used what I've got. I had some diced beef in the freezer, so for the first time I made Chelsea's stroganoff. It is a really nice stroganoff - I can't believe I waited so long to make it.
For dessert, we had mint chocolate chip icecream using the Tastebom peppermint oil that I bought recently. I got the highest praise from. DS. He declared that it was just like shop bought icecream, but better.

Down at DD's babysitting.  She made chilli con carne in her TMX for tacos, it was delicious.  Must ask her how she cooked it because you could still recognise it was mince!
