The chicken hotpot looks lovely Julie.

Mock fish - my mum used to make it too just like you did Judy, haven't had it in years and years. I have a sudden craving for it now seeing your yummy lunch.

Go for it Michele, when we might not have much in the fridge, we usually do have potatoes and eggs on hand.

Julie , that looks lovely.  Nice food for these cooler days.
Judy, I did add some semolina and they did crisp up well.  They  probably do this without the semolina.

Yes, if you have the oil temperature just right they do fine Chookie.  I keep it very simple but some people add flour and I really don't know why.

Wonderful Dinners friends everyone :D

I pulled out from the freezer a Pork Tenderloin yesterday for dinner.I eventually decided to split it and stuff with Sage and Onion stuffing.I then rolled it in Parma Ham and roasted it in the oven for 25 minutes. It was delicious.

I made a batch of  this pumpkin soup for tea tonight  http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=11779.0.

I've got a huge pot of mince stew on at the moment for tomorrow and to freeze.

We had paprika chicken with quinoa tabbouleh. The tabbouleh was delicious. I got the recipe from taste.com.au.

I saw Fast Ed make a cauliflower tabbouleh the other night, that looked interesting.  I love how recipes evolve from a traditional list of ingredients to using almost anything.

I agree Judy. I also added corn kernels to give it sweetness.

Judy I think the way you make the grated potato with the egg is like my Mum used to make; called Mock Snapper in our house and was the main part of the meal. With 7 children there was not always a lot of meat but we did eat well and never went hungry.
