What's for Dinner Tonight?

It is actually cold and wet here today. DH is making pea and ham soup from our Cbristmas ham bone. I have some bread rising so we will have that too.

Last night we had grilled Salmon and steamed mixed veggies. After steaming, I added 1 teaspoon of soya sauce and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil. Very tasty.

I BBQed a salmon fillet for tonight, then made some GF garlic pizzas to go with it
Was yum ... but huge!!! (1.89kg)

We had a sort of tomato tart tonight. It was a cooked Parmesan pastry, filled with smooth Fetta blitzed with cream. Then tomatoes put on the top and a drizzle of basil oil. DD and I loved it but DH wasn't too fond of it.

I've popped two lamb shanks in the Slow Cooker.I thought we needed comfort food because it's cold here today.DH says it's -1c outside at the moment.

Last night for Dinner I made a salad of Pink Grapefruit, Avacado, Chicken breast and salad leaves. Garnished with walnuts. The chicken I cooked in the Varoma in Chicken stock. Perfect for a hot night.

No, we all ate our fill and was still about half left --- on the menu plan to use in a mornay and a quiche

I made the Silverbeet & Mushroom quiche with Oat & Parmesan crust from the Everyday Cooking for Thermomix families. It is so delicious. I served it with a salad.
