Michele, that is not good.   If you put it away you are even less likely to use it.  I find I use mine more in the winter , making soup and steaming veggies , fish and chicken.
In the Summer I use it nearly every day, made protein balls and bread, sweet chilli sauce etc.    Most is given away.
With your work and holidaying, it may be difficult for you to settle into a routine to use it.
If you could suggest what you would like to cook, maybe we could help you select a good recipe and work you through the recipe.

One thing I really like to make is your 2 second salad Chookie. May give that a whirl with the hot weather. Will see how I go. Thought my step daughter might use it more now that she has moved into the granny flat - she has a young MS client with 2 children and does all the food prep in her TMX5.
I would like a good basic grain based bread recipe, maybe a chicken recipe for the weekend as DH gets sick of vegetarian recipes 7 days a week.
Thanks Chookie - everyone here is so generous with there time and knowledge.

Michele, for a basic grain bread, just replace 100g of flour with whatever grain you fancy. Proceed as normal. I like to cook up the grain in a large batch on the stove.  I collect whatever I have , put it in a large saucepan and cover well with cold water. Simmer for 20 minutes.  Strain well and place in sandwich bags and freeze.
When you measure the water for the bread, make it hot and pour this over the frozen grain. Wait until the water is just warm and then add to the rest of the bread ingredients. Check that dough isn’t too wet as the grain can contain water.  If looking wet add a tablespoon more flour.

With the 2 second salad , don’t over process it. If the chunks of veggies are large, it may take 3 seconds. 4 seconds usually makes mash.

For a good chicken recipe, look at main meals on the Forum.  There are always lots of comments.   This makes it easy to decide,
have you tried my Falafel recipe. ?  It is best made in the TMX and they are delicious.
I use Mount Zero falafel mix and a can of organic Chickpeas.
The mix is bio-dynamic. I will post a photo of what the packet looks like.
Good luck, we have to get your TMX mojo back.

I made 2 serves of this recipe using leftover Christmas ham, mixed veggies and long life cream the freezer.  I forgot the pasta was cooked in the thermoserver and already had it cooking in the TM bowl before I realised.  http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=12066.

Michele, I hope you take on Chookie’s advice to get your mojo back.  I’ve just looked through my chicken recipes so will give some links here for you to check out and read what others think of them too.  Once you’ve found a favourite recipe and made it successfully you can choose another type of recipe we can give advice about.  This is only a small selection of chicken recipes, good luck in finding one you’d like to try.

I recommend the Honey Mustard Chicken recipe Michele.

We're going to have Creamy Chorizo Pasta.

Baf's chicken & Honey Mustard Chicken are popular in our house too.

Tonight we are having a Pasta Bake with salad.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

We had fish and chips in the AF and a Greek salad. I felt like something different to a tossed salad.

I think I'm going to make a Risotto. I need to use the arborio rice I found hiding in the back of my pantry LOL.

Thankyou for all your suggestions and encouragement. I still haven't cooked anything yet.
DH is complaining of the lack of meat dishes lately so I have some beef mince defrosting in the fridge for tomorrow nights dinner and am about to browse the recipe section for ideas.

We had Chilli Chorizo and Bean curry from Thermofun.  As usual I fiddled with it a bit, but we enjoyed it.
