We had one of our weekend favourites. Hot salami, fried off to get rid of all the fat, baby tomatoes cooked until they fall apart, spinach wilted, pasta and bocconcini stirred through.

Left over piggy. Will do hot veggies in Varoma as I sent all leftover salads home with guests.

Happy birthday, Mab, hope you have a lovely day.  It certainly seems to be birthday season .. it was mine last week, then Judy's Geoff's, followed 3 days later by my cousin, then my sister the next day, my friend the day after that and Ral's today!

It was like this when we lived in Hong Kong as well, there were about 7 of us who had birthdays very close to each other so we would hire a junk and sail around the islands with picnic baskets and booze generally having a great time ... until the year the junk we hired broke down and the water police had to come and take us all off!   :o
